I am requesting prayer concerning a change with my current job. I can not go into detail at the moment, but I can say that certain policy changes were made which is proceeding to make life difficult for. I must now have the Lord's will for my next step.

Well Peter left his job to follow Jesus, so did Matthew, and the other apostles.

After that they never again worked in a secular job.

The only Apostle who started his own business was Paul, he made tents on the side to meet his expenses, and then he preached the gospel.

Look at your skills, can you start your own little business?

Maybe it is time to jump full time into the ministry.

If you have a car you can travel to churches and preach as an evangelist, to get some experience and funds.

Will be praying Jay. The Lord will be with you, as I know you trust in Him for all things. Praying that the Lord gives you clear direction for the future path you need to take!

It looks like a may have a job lined up already. I am still praying about it, but things do look promising. I still covet your prayers concerning the situation.

Because the Bible has so many metaphors and allegories, I'm wondering if you'd be willing to consider that Paul's use of the word describing him as a “tent maker” was not because he physically made tents but is a reference to the tabernacle in the wilderness and the Lord's promise to raise up again the tabernacle of David?

The tabernacle of David was when David put up a simple tent over the Ark of the covenant representing someone with the fulness of the perfection of Jesus Christ in them without the other larger room seen in the tabernacle of the wilderness they had to be tended to daily by mortal priests.

I believe Paul's purpose and hope for us is that we would become like “David's Tabernacle,” therefore he called himself and others like him to be "tentmakers".

Note to the OP......... seems that your paryers have been answered.......... this speaks well for you!

Blessings to you
