The video is called 1955 and sung by a christian artist named Carman. Basically the song is about the tent revivals they had in the 1950's.

I think to make the video as accurate as possible they used vintage instruments from that time period.

I was just wondering what the maker of this guitar was and if it was in fact vintage or a prop?

I apoligise for the sound, it is horrible, but I am not concerned with the sound anyway. I was just wanting to know the make and model of the guitar in this video. It kinda looks like a cheap les paul made by Sears and Roebuck, but I do not know who made it, that is just a guess.

Here is the video on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMZoevgGFjc

NOTE: The music does not start until 2:12, but a picture of the guitar in question has the whole body with the headstock at 5:00,

so if you just want to see the guitar fast forward to 5:00 in the video.(You will have to stop the video as the video only shows it for a couple of seconds)

Parts of the guitar are shown throught the video though the 5:00 shows the whole guitar.

Other parts in the video of the guitar are at: 3:15, 3:21, 4:02, 5:22 and 5:35.

I apologise for the horrible quality of the sound and video, but I did not put this on youtube, it was the best on there I could find.

It's not a strat?

LOL! Ummmmmmm.......NO!

I found the info on another guitar forum...harmony central.

Apparently it is a 1960’s Kay Thinline Pro Model.

Which is funny because the SONG is about 1955! LOL! I think those guitars were also made in the 50's but from what I read the first one was made in 1959! So he would have had to have time traveled a few years forward, bought the guitar and then bring it back to 1955! LOL!

I always enjoyed Carman's music and singing.
Loved the theatrics too! lol

So true what he was speaking at the end of this video!

Sadly, I hear that Carman is now battling cancer.
I'm sure he would appreciate any prayers
lifted up for him.

After reading your response I looked it up and yes, sure enough, he has been given FOUR YEARS TO LIVE.....MAX!

Unless God undertakes, that is how long he has been given to live by the doctors. I had my church pray for him yesterday and he will be in my thoughts and prayers.

He says while he is strong he is wanting to do another album and video, I wish him all the best and hope he can raise the money he needs.

I really hope God can do a miracle in his life. He has given so much to so many.
