People who believe jewelry is wrong often argue a watch is OK because it's functional (needed to tell time) so it's not Jewelry

That may work!
I even thought of a radiological based clock, but we ALL know of horribly inaccurate they can be -showing a date of a ten million years when in fact only 6000 have gone by.
