the definition of Apostolic belief:

Those that believe that every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

This is INITIAL SALVATION.

One may do these things and not attain to FINAL SALVATION.

we are saved by grace through faith

by faith we believe and obey and receive the promises of God

by faith we repent and turn our lives towards God
in obedience to our faith we are buried with him by baptism into his death
in faith we receive the Holy Ghost, which is the promise of God and the earnest of our inheritance.

Romans 8:13-15
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Hebrews 11:7-8
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

Then another poster posts Acts 2:38 and says case closed.

That is why you don't peddle one verse on a people and expect progress spiritually and physically. Sorry, but you have an entire ministry of Christ and His apostles who always seem to trip up the one verse wonders. :heeheehee

Saved by grace alone?

It is Gods grace, but what do YOU DO to be saved?

You don't have o call yourself Apostolic, or Pentecostal, but you do have to believe and obey the Apostles Doctrine, to be on a firm foundation.
