I am so sorry to hear this. I am praying for both your wife and you. Many years ago we had the same thing happen to us and it was very sad. However we went on to have three beautiful children so this sad event does not mean God will not bless you with children in the future.

Things like this we just can't understand the "why" so we just have to trust God.

I am so very sorry for your wife and I will be praying for you both. God blessed me and my husband with 2 beautiful children but before our first , and then after our second, I lost 3 babies that I miscarried. It was never easy to deal with and sometimes my heart aches for the ones I lost, but I never lost sight of one thing....God always knew what he was doing and still does. Then at 26 I was told we could never have anymore children and even tho we already had 2 beautiful babies....I wanted a big family. Needless to say after many years of tears I have accepted what God chose for me and my husband. I am so very thankful for the 2 we have but even now in my 40s I would love to have more but God gave us what he wanted for us and for that I am happy. I am sure God has plans for a baby in your home so be encouraged, God will bring your joy back to you. Speaking as a woman, our bodies sometimes are not ready to go thru such drastic changes that a pregnancy brings to our bodies and so their is miscarriage. God will bring you and your wife thru this and prepare you for the next time. I will say this in closing, each time this tragic loss took place, my husband held me closer to him more than the time before and thru each ordeal we became even more closer than the time before. If I had not had God and my best friend (My husband and soul mate).........I would have never made it. Now, 32 happily married years later , 2 beautiful children and 3 gorgeous grandkids.....here we are still going strong! :) God bless you friend.

Jedi, it doesn't matter if you lose your baby in the first month of gestation or after carrying them for 9 months - this is still a terrible, painful loss for both of you. Hold on to each other tonight. Cry together. Mourn your loss together. And be assured we are holding you up in prayer as you go thru this terrible time.

My wife and I lost two before our little man was born in January. It's gut wrenching.

Our Doc told us that 1 in 5 pregnancies end in a misscarriage, but that many women don't even realize they have had one unless thye knew they were pregnant and were very conscious of it. He also said taht typically it happens because there was something genetically or physically wrong and the body was protecting itself. NOt always the most reassuring, BUT it helped my wife to understand that is wasn't anythign she had done. It wasn't her fault.

Pray and mourn and know the baby is in a better place than we are. It is hard, but it passes.
