I had a great football Sunday as my Tennessee Titans beat the Pittsburgh Steeler's in Pittsburgh. First home opening game loss in 11 years for the Steeler's.

The good day continued as my Dallas Cowboy's finally beat the Giants in Dallas. For awhile in the 4th quarter it looked like the Cowboys were going to be up to their old tricks of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory but they held on to win.

Not so....he was reassigned within the athletic department.

:heeheehee

How many assistants has Brown fired/reassigned in the past few years? I'm wondering if the issue isn't only the assistants. Brown should've retired in glory several years ago and put Muschamp in as HC. As it is now, he has a good probability of being either forced into retirement or fired himself.

Whether he was reassigned or not, he was "fired" as Defensive Coordinator.

Mack is a pretty popular coach, but they did rank 6th on total defense nationally while Muschamp was there. After he left, they ranked 11th. It does, ultimately, fall back on the head coach, but the offensive and defensive coordinators are really to blame for their coaching. Whether Mack was a good or a bad head coach, that didn't effect Muschamp's reputation as Defensive Coordinator, other than leaving for a better paying job.

You have hit the nail on the head. I believe Mack will be gone after this year. Either on his own or he will be forced out.

The very competitive drive that makes these coaches successful in their prime makes it hard for them to accept when to retire and call it quits.

I think Mack will retire after this year as well. I thought money talked, guess I was wrong. :heeheehee We have plenty of money and can't get any good coaches or players.

Love the Cowboys, have no problem with Jones. Romeo is the problem. Until they fix that problem they will always be second best.

As far as the game is concerned, the Cowboys didn't win it, the Giants lost it.

my friend, there is no way to know if Romo is a problem or not because Jones wont fix what is broken. Romo hasnt had a decent line since he became the QB.

and what did Jones do with his second and third pick? he took a back up tight end and a third reciever.

can you tell me how many times one would expect to see 2 TE and 3 recievers in the game at one time?

Jones is an IDIOT and he needs to fire his GM....which is himself. He wont do that, so im just in a holding pattern until he kicks off to the next plain.

oh and if you dont like Romo, guess what? Jones just gave him a bazillion dollars.

Yeah I know. Which has me wondering what Romeo has on Jones. :heeheehee

He is a good quarterback, but he is not a great quarterback, he is not consistant, he is not a "crunchtime" quarterback. His decision making is terrible.

Look, the man turned down Carrie Underwood for Jessica Simpson and I'm supposed to trust his decisions in a football game? :foottap

Honestly I have no idea if Romo is a good QB. What I do know is that he has never been in a position to succeed. I suspect we never will.

Can you imagine what they would be worth if they were still "America's team"? When they went 14 or 15 years under Jerry without winning a playoff game that made them lose their luster a lot.

Dude, it just makes me sick to think about it.

Jones stated on ESPN that if he had a general manger that had been as bad as he has been over the last 15 years, he would have fired him!

but since he owns the team, he will do what he wants!

ugh. well. Here is the deal. I aint giving Jerry Jones any more money. NONE. I wont go to LSU football games at Jerry world. I wont watch the cowboys on TV. I wont buy my kids Cowboy stuff. im done with him until he fires himself or dies.

I am not that hardcore. I still faithfully watch the Cowboys when I can and root for them. Apparently JJ is going to live to be 150 so I will be dead and gone before him and therefore I can't afford to wait for him to get out of the way.

As far as logo merchandise goes any of my money spent on that goes for the hometown Tennessee Titans!

LOL! I saw a cute dress for my son's little girl. She is 1 1/2. Looked like a Dallas Cheerleader outfit. I told him it was so cute, I guess the blue stars. He said, "Mother, don't ever put anything on her that represents the Cowboys or Texas A&M." :toofunny

True, but the billion dollar stadium is sold out regularly, so, the luster is still pretty bright. I have never been in the new stadium, and in Texas stadium only twice, once to Promisekeepers and once to see Emmitt Smith reach some grand record that I don't remember exactly what it was. I would rather watch them on TV, then I can go about my business and check in now and then.
But there are lots of folks that love to go, have friends that are season ticket holders to the Cowboys and the Rangers. I enjoy some sports but Jerry isn't making it on me.
