Exactly. Showing basic respect for all men is Biblical. To open the Church to Sodomites is an abomination.

His main defense for sin is that ALL CHRISTIANS are sinning in one way or the other. A typical response nowadays when trying to overcome holiness teaching.

What they don't get is that ...far from justifying their own personal sin it just reveals there is a lot of hypocrisy in people.

None will be excused. That's what they miss. It just means that that most so called Christians will be in Hell with the gays.
