Putting gas in is only the first step...

After that, you have to prime the engine. (second step)

And then after that, you have to actually pull the cord until it cranks up.

You shall hear the sound thereof. (third step).

It doesn't run automatically just because you put gas in the tank.

Make sure your air cleaner is free from dirt and dust. Then, spray some WD-40 into the air cleaner to help prime the system.

Did you use the right gas? Does it need to be mixed with oil?

Kick rocks, Esaias.

Yes, right gas. Has new oil. Does not use a gas/oil mix.

Okay, so the mower started. It began to smoke. The smoke is white-ish. I was going to finish up the last patch of grass but the mower began to shake and smoke profusely so I turned it off.

Hold out to the end!

Do not be denied!

Press in!

Keep on pushing!

Try rocking it back and forth...

Broken piston ring? Maybe the mower didn't originally run out of gas, maybe it stopped because of other problems.

It did run out of gas...

Wouldn't be surprised if there are other problems.

Is water in that gas that you added a possibility. If so, it will smoke white and run rough.

Nothing. Shouldn't need to clean out anything really.
Probably is a nut or bolt to unscrew on bottom of carburetor bowl to drain old gas out of carb and floats if needed.

However u do it, Once u drain and new stuff gets into carb via priming, yur good to go.

Sounds like water in the gas.

Get some fresh gas, prime and pull.

It should start.
