but my sweet daughters chinchilla never responded to either. Called on the name of Jesus for healing and that didn't work. Then tried the same to raise him from the dead, and that didn't work either.I was really hoping that when my family all laid hands on it when it was sick, that it would've been healed as a testimony to my kids of God answering prayer, and increased their faith. Didn't happen. I finally have decided to resort to His greater will is to teach them about death, and prepare them for dealing with death of loved ones in their lives ahead.
(Ftr, lung infection or something..)

My daughter cried most all night and slept w us. It's 6:30 am, and she is still crying off and on.

Guess I may need to build a small casket and hold a family funeral.

I thought about trying that with people. Glad I never did. It would have been embarrassing. ;)

It's all in God's will and God's timing. I have prayed for animal's and people before and nothing happened. However, there wer 2 animals that I prayed for, that it really happened. I believe it happened to give my children faith.

When my oldest son was about 8, (he is now 65) he had a pet rabbit. I forget what happened to it, it could have been the dogs got ahold of it. Anyway it was dead. It looked stiff to me.
They took it to the basement and all 3 of my children were standing there , crying. I said, “Let's pray for it.”

A little later, I heard, “mommy, mommy come look at the rabbit” It was hopping all over the basement.

Another time, my daughter lived next door. And one day my granddaughter and grandson, ages 8 and 6, came bringing their kitten over to the house, it was limp and looked dead. I probably checked but don't remember if it had any life in it. Come to think about it I believe it did, because when they asked me to pray for it, I thought, “Should I? If it dies, it might destroy there faith. “ A nd I hesitated. And they were insisting that I pray for it. The rabbit came to mind, and I prayed. And they carried it back home.

A little later, I heard, “Mammaw, mammaw, look at the kitty” I looked. It was running up and down a tree.

There is no way we can ever completely understand how the will of God works. Sometimes He heals, and sometimes He doesn't. We've prayed for animals before, and God has touched them, although we have never prayed for a dead animal, asking God to raise it, but God has healed our animals who were very sick.

I know how sad it is to lose an animal, they are part of your family. I will be praying for comfort for your daughter in this time of sorrow!

I've always found a good bolt of lightening does the trick more often than not.

Maybe chinchilla's are evil, nasty rodents?

j/k

We have prayed for our animals. Some didn't make it, some did. Interestingly enough, all the ones that didn't make it -- it actually turned out for the best, for them and for us.
