I can't post this on Facebook, so I am asking that no one here asks any questions over on FB about this subject :)
Our church has had a man on the payroll for the past many years whose job title was "Communications Director". It's a very long story, but let's just say this - he has never done a good job of communicating :( Well, he has submitted his resignation as of the end of October.
In the meantime, I have felt for a while now that our church has gotten to the place that we need at least a part-time secretary who would be AT the church during day 5 days a week. Probably from 9:00-2:00 Monday thru Friday. This person would do the jobs that the Communications Director had been doing as well as a good many other tasks that we need to have done. I would really like to have this job. Obviously, I would not get rich from it. But it would generate a small amount of income for us (about the same as what I make now doing daycare). And it would give me another avenue to serve the Lord.
I submitted my ideas to our Pastor and the Elders tonight at Board Meeting. Please pray that GOD will have HIS way in this. If He wants me to have this position, pray that He opens the doors and gives guidance to the Pastor and Elders. If His plan is not for me to do this, then pray that I will sense his guidance and His peace.
