Anyone else catch it on National Geographic?

It is actually very good if you can make it past the first 10-15 minutes when they are introducing all the yuppy characters and squealing kids ("Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Stop daddy! Stop Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" -you get the idea) who are filming their individual stories. Thankfully, some of the most annoying characters are the first to die.

They show people already killing each other on day 4 of the blackout for a can of food and paying $20 for a bottle of water. Makes you realize how cheap a couple of 5 gallon pales filled with water are NOW, and a few extra cases of ammo.

When you see what happens after a hurricane, or other natural disaster it really makes you realize how fast it all breaks down. I think it is worse now than when I was young...I lived through the Columbus Day storm that slammed the Northwest, and the big flood in Oregon in the late 60's, and I don't recall there being lootings, shootings or any other panic. Neighbors came together and helped each other. I am thankful I don't live in a big city!

Oh and no I didn't see the show, just have seen what has happened over the past 60+ years and how our society has broken down...its not going to be pretty if the poop hits the fan.......but we are prepared!!!!!! not for everything but for most things...

I would think so.

For the record, I watched the first half dozen or so episodes and stopped because quite frankly, none of the characters were that likeable.

I'm still watching, but man, it's getting more unplausible every episode. Pretty annoying.
