Please Pray for my sister. She is 96 yrs old. A few days ago, she went to the hospital in terrible pain, with a blocked bowel. They have done everything that they can to unblock it, even pumping her stomach thru a tube thru her nose. But the problem is that the bowel has doubled upon itself and is blocking itself. The only thing left is surgery. And she has refused that, until just now, another sister called me and said that she is worse and has now agreed on surgery.

She has had for years real high blood pressure, and a few days ago, they put her in ICU because she started “defibulating” (probably wrong word—some of you nurses correct it)

I don't want to give her up, but, God's will be done.

Update--My sister just came thru surgery. The Dr. said her bowel was completely blocked and she would not have lived without the surgery. But this next week would really be hard on her.

She has some pneumonia, and is on a breathing tube. But my God is able, and even though she is 96, she is a strong person.

So thankful she came through the surgery okay! Believing with you that God will finish the work.

Praise God. She is eating and recovering. Very weak yet but getting better every day. We thought we were losing her a couple times, but she pulled through. The Drs. are amazed.

I thought she was 96, but she is 97 and will be 98 in March.

I thank you all for your prayers.

This probably belongs in the "Praise Section"

First my sister is 98 or will be in March. She came thru that operation just fine, and then had to go to rehab for about 3 weeks. She was supposed to go home, a week ago Tuesday, but they discovered they had left he feeding tube in her stomach. (How that can happen, I don't know.)

But it was a minor operation, compared to the other one. She came thru that one also, and went home Friday. She is as happy as she can be, and feeling much better that she had been for a long time.

Thank you every one that prayed.
