We have had a big snow storm and below average temps...it snowed for several hours giving us several inches...very dry! The roads are still frozen over in a lot of places, and this all started Thursday night....we have everything we need and have not had to venture out for anything for us...
I did go Friday to get bird and squirrel food...we have been working all day long keeping them all fed, and hummingbird feeders keep freezing so we have to keep switching them out every hour or so.
So glad we are prepared for such things.................
Thanking the Lord for helping us to be able to be ready for what comes along :thumbsup

Glad to hear that you are prepared for whatever may come... even your birds and squirrels are taken care of - that is awesome!

Sorry my computer was in the shop...yes we have them all winter long. We were surprised to read that not all humming birds migrate, we had been told that if you feed them in the winter they won't leave, but then we studied about them and not all leave and you can't stop them from leaving by feeding them...it was a job to keep the feeders from freezing, we had to bring them in and thaw them out...they feed before day break and after sunset, and of course all day long, we had to be up early to get them out in time...thankfully our weather is warmer now and the snow is gone...

My goodness all this hard weather, and the stories of people fighting over food, and its just sad when it really isn't that hard to have a few extra things in your pantry to be ready for bad weather or what ever comes along...we had another snow/ice storm here and we didn't have to leave our cozy warm and safe home!!! I am so thankful to our Lord for helping us to be ready for what comes along.
