You gotta split personality? ;)

You missed several Bert reimpersonations... last one was Trying2DoRight...

You missed several Bert reimpersonations... last one was Trying2DoRight...I actually got in on that one, and i've seen the others, ya. Short answer, i think making an ignore button more accessible, like maybe right in the thread, by clicking on a poster's name and having 'ignore' be one of the drop-down options, is prolly the best answer?

Pray tell, please explain how did some here figure that out, in spite of your denials?

A scripture comes to mind, "Can a leopard change its spots?" (Aunt Jemimah 13:23.)

See, the bible is full of wisdom, even when not from a supposed god.

See, the bible is full of wisdom, even when not from a supposed god.Ha well, if you go back and look, i never actually quite denied; and you would have to ask them? I'm a bit curious myself, but put it down to your Scripture (? i guess?) quote! As to the last, if the Bible is full of wisdom, then why denigrate it this way? Don't get that part...and "...even when not from a supposed god" seems to ignore that great gods are not born, but made, according to Scripture? As opposed to God, Whom it may be demonstrated--using physics, even, for an atheist-- that the we cannot find a maker for. Please take these as rhetorical, tho, k? :)

Ok, fine, I guess it does depend upon what the definition of "is" is.

and you would have to ask them? I'm a bit curious myself, but put it down to your Scripture (? i guess?)

Er, yes, and "them" would include me , as you maybe noticed in my recent "Houston Hangout" post. And yes, it has a lot to do with the scripture I did quote from--Jeremiah 13:23, (although I cheekily labeled it "Aunt Jemimah 13:23." I do like her, as a fan since circa 1970.)

As to the last, if the Bible is full of wisdom, then why denigrate it this way?

Denigrated? So, for me to refer to the slam-dunk, and in this case predictive wisdom of an ancient writing is to also denigrate it, merely because I say it came from men and not from your supposed god? Don't think so. But okay, I understand how Christians think. Really, I do.

Well of course it is only as you say--possibly 'Aunt Jemimah' there is your way of honoring Jeremiah; but you can hardly assume that it will be read like that, i don't think.

Okay, that's fair. I was merely hoping any reader who already understood the "leopards can't change spots" principle would also know it's somewhere in OT. You were the one wondering how several instantly guessed your former ID. So, yah, I'm sorry for the viscious comedic license I took for my own entertainment. OTOH, Probably Aunt Jemima would claim she was the one denigrated, at least if she wasn't a fan of Jeremiah. Seems Aunt Jemima has been smiling since 1914, but supposedly prophet Jeremiah was all about crying.

I think it's kind of ironic that you chose Aunt Jemimah, actually; a fictional, racist meme created to hawk processed flour, hmm...
