Have any of you seen these type of fellows before?
The biggest and most beautiful tree that we had, we built a big tree house around it for the children to play in.
Toucans and various types of Parrots frequented that tree.
Limbs kept drying up and large branches twisting. The tree was dying fast. We kept getting advice from everyone. We were told ants, rotten heart, and other things. Because of children playing under the tree and limbs falling so much, I felt it was dangerous and hired some guys to take it down. The heart was gone and at the bottom of the tree in the heart, we found these guys.

"Dynastes", (Genus of 8 species of Giant Beetles), those are larvae of probably the Hercules or Goliath Beetle.

Or maybe they're peeled lobster tails?
