Two Ironies
Irony 1.
We are told NOT TO judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics."
BUT on the other hand. "We are also encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by
the actions of a few lunatics." How is that supposed to work?
Irony 2.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of
Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this year the greatest amount of
free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 47.5 million people as of the most
recent figures available in April 2013.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department
of the Interior, asks us "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated
reason for the policy is because "The animals will grow dependent on
handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."
Thus ends today's two lessons in irony.

Well... you get credit for the cut and paste! :D
Two ironies indeed... the foot that fits one shoe should fit the other. With our government, obviously, that is not ever the case.

Two Ironies
Irony 1.
We are told NOT TO judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics."
BUT on the other hand. "We are also encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by
the actions of a few lunatics." How is that supposed to work?Hmm, i'm gonna try a shot here, assuming you are not just joking; not sure what will come of it, but...first a rephrase:
"We are told NOT TO judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics" = "Don't judge believers by the actions of apostate unbelievers."
"We are also encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by the actions of a few lunatics" = "judge all of those who own a sword by the actions of any one sword owner."
the first seems self evident to me; but so does the second, if "live and die by the sword" is true.

handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.""Food stamps" = "Supposedly 'proud,' yet cutting a $4Bil program that feeds people, with the lowest rate of fraud of any gov prog, and raising the 'defense' (a definition that needs its own clarification, imo) and every other government, non-social prog." and
"Please do not feed the animals" = "Wild animals have a food source; in essence that might be described as their 'job,' which of course no wild animal will be interested in doing as long as a human wishes to gratify themselves by ingratiating themselves to wild animals as a means of showing 'friendship.'"
my personal take is that this second one is kind of an unfair characterization, motives are different, etc. Also notable is that those same...ahem, people, who advise one not to feed wild animals are also selling your National Parks out from under you, and trying to strip every single social prog down to zero--even the ones that WE pay for directly--whilst increasing every government prog that further enriches the already rich.

...those few Muslims are gun owners too...i would argue that if "Live and die by the sword" is true, then a Muslim cannot be a handgun owner, at least.

And see that 1:4 or 1:5 US kids are now eating (or not) because of food stamps. Just tell 'em to get a job?

I would tell their parents to get of their behinds and find a job.
There are to many people desensitized by the welfare system.
They all have wide screen TV and more electronic gadgets such as computers, etc etc.
The real bottom line to all these problems are found in the bible:
If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
Wickedness is the cause of the destruction of the country.

This would seem to force people into a job market that has seen what might only be described as a catastrophic reduction in the real min wage since 1961, which would have a min wage that kept pace with inflation since then at about $21.00 an hour. Plus, it seems 'go get a job' has fundamentally changed in the last five years, since the crash...what do you think?

So, this does not make sense to you:
If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.

including all the problems that the land is experiencing.
Can't be any clearer than that.

Irony 3:
Most, if not all schools have a program where no kid goes hungry and many even serve breakfast.
However, if your children are NOT part of the free breakfast and lunch program and you owe more than $10, your child will be denied lunch until it's paid.

IRONY #4
An abortion doctor can kill hundreds or thousands of babies in the womb, when they are far enough in gestational age to be born and live, and never once face prosecution.... yet a 14-yo girl can kill her baby as it is being born, and will probably pay for this action the rest of her life.
