Yup. Don't have time to watch the youtube video, but certainly have looked into the fact that Easter, among other "Christian" holidays has very pagan overtones.

We had a WONDERFUL Passover.

BTW, when you say 'Easter', if you mean the bunny rabbits laying chocolate eggs, and the insistance on Sunday, then yea, that's pagan.

However, the Easter holyday is not, itself, pagan. Only English speakers have an issue, because in practically all other languages that time is called Passover or some some such variant. (Pascha, Pascuale, Passa, Pesach, etc). Easter comes from the German word for 'rising' (OEstre), which is also where the word EAST comes from, since the sun rises in the east. The term itself had some ancient pagan origins but came to mean simply 'rising'. Thus, when Germans were Christianised, they used the term RISING (Easter) to be the celebration of Christ's RISING from the dead.

I don't know where the bunny rabbits and all the fertility nonsense got added, though.

Interestingly enough, even the Jews aren't immune, they use colored 'Passover eggs' during Passover.

The main problems with Easter are 1. the date is wrong, and 2. the bunnies and fertility nonsense.
