Well, only ashamed because most of the time prayer requests on here are for very serious matters of health, life and death, lost loved ones, marriages, etc, etc.

I have waited until now to post this but crunch time is here so need some prayers to go up for divine intervention.

In six days we are supposed to leave for a 2 1/2 week vacation...er....I mean "missions trip" to the Caribbean and then across the Atlantic to England.

I somehow lost my wifes passport that was less than two years old so two months ago we applied for a new one. Right about the time it should have arrived we got a letter from the U.S. State Department saying that the photo we had submitted was too old. The pic can't be more than 6 months old and I did not realize this so had sent the extra photo from her photo session almost two years ago for the last passport. We immediately sent them a new photo that they have confirmed they received on 4/11, over two weeks ago now. We have yet to receive the passport and if we don't I will be going on this vacation alone.

Tomorrow, Monday 4/28, is critical as we will be calling the State Department once again and really pushing for answers. Need prayers to go up. This has totally taken the joy of anticipation we usually have the weeks leading up to a vacation. Adding to that both of us are under the weather so "Arghhhh!!!!!".

I have been in similar positions where God has answered quickly. I will include your need in my prayer today. God bless :)

My wife has been calling the U.S. State Department every day. This morning she finally got news other than it was "in progress". they gave here a UPS tracking number and about 30 minutes later the doorbell rang and it was the UPS man with her passport!

Now I need prayer for something else. Yesterday my wife had to go to the emergency room she was in so much pain. Turns out she has a ruptured disk in her back. She will probably have to have her 3rd back surgery when we get back. In the meantime her Dr. is giving her a steroid or cortisone shot (I forget which) every day this week so she can enjoy our trip.

I also started getting sick at the end of last week and by yesterday it had grown into a full blown head / throat thing. Went to my Dr. and am on a very strong round of antibiotics (I suffer from chronic bronchitis also so this should help that also) plus got a good prescription nasal spray so I can breathe through my nose at night which is important when you use a CPAP machine.

Rejoice that the passport made it and now pray for our health!
