May 30 was my last day as a child protective services case worker. The agency I worked for is a non-profit contracted entity for the Fla Dept of Children and Families.

This week I was given information about a particular former case of mine that compelled me to contact the FDCF hotline to report gross negligence against my former employer. I also contacted the Guardian ad litem in the case who raised a real ruckus as well. As a result the visits between the children in question and their family members have been cancelled and a huge meeting about the case has been called for today. I was supposed to have anonymity but the HR Dept of my former employer tried to reach me yesterday which means that my name was leaked.

In addition to being concerned about the safety of the children, my motive was also to cover myself in the event harm was to come to the children. I did not want to be thrown under the bus later and become a scapegoat.

Please pray for God's protection on me. I fully expect the agency to come after me for embarrassing them and exposing their shoddy work.

The best way to protect yourself is to keep all documentation.

I kept a copy of every e-mail in my prior job in a separate folder,
Someone tried to blame me for something, but I just simply produced all the e-mails from that period, it was that person who ended up fired.
If I had not taken the insight to keep a copy of all my documentation it would have been a case of my word against that person's word.

Amen my brother, may our Lord Jesus cover you through this time. May the Lord Jesus vindicate you in the eyes of all that are concerned. In JESUS name!

Believe the Lord, you have nothing to fear my brother. The Holy Ghost within you is your comforter.

Amen! Document, document, document!!! I have a situation on my job as well where I believe Medicare fraud is being done. Trying to tread lightly and gather as much info as possible before coming out 'of the closet', so to speak.

I receive between 80 and 120 emails per day at work. If I printed and filed every one of them I would not have time to do anything else and would need a lot of filing cabinets!

I will be praying for you Bro. Doing the right thing is never the easy road, but you can bet that it is the best road. You will be able to sleep at night knowing you have done the right thing. Please keep us posted so we can continue to pray and lift your situation up to the Lord.

If you are using something like Outlook you can print them all out at the same time while doing other jobs

You do not need to print them, I simply created an electronic folder and at the end of the day selected all the e-mails and copied them as a group into my electronic folder.

In my electronic folder I had every e-mail going back to 5 years. The reason I did that is because in the past I once got into trouble by deleting one e-mail, after that I learned never to delete any e-mails.
