Mary's parents names aren't mentioned in the lineage in Matthew or Luke and I was just wondering WHY?

Mary's parents names aren't mentioned in the lineage in Matthew or Luke and I was just wondering WHY?

If you read the genealogies of those gospels you will find that they are different because one set of ancestors belong to Joseph, while the other belongs to Mary. It was done to show that both Mary and Joseph were of the lineage of David. I hope this helps some. Take a close look at Matthew 1 and Luke 3 and you will eventually see a difference in the lineage of both parents.
