No True Apostolic Connection

The "apostolic" movement is only apostolic in name only. The movement began around 1914-1945, but where is it's connection prior to that? There is no direct link to the first century of the church.

By direct link do you mean an institutional unbroken thread? I believe there were always people of the apostolic faith that do not require an institutional connection, per se.

There is no direct link in history to the Early Church for us these days.

The only way an individual saint can know that they are in the original church is by 2 identifiers...

#1...Doctrine....The saint must believe in the IDENTICAL doctrine of the early church.

#2...Experience....The saint must believe in and have the IDENTICAL experience as those that were required in the days of the early church.

The early church is our individual measuring stick. If we have the same doctrine and experience as the early church, we are the true bride of Christ.

However, if we do not have these 2 identifiers, we are NOT in the true bride and we will likely be left behind when the bridegroom comes as in Matt. 25....

The Holy Spirit is the only connection needed. We're still searching the Scriptures and clarifying "doctrine" as we are led of the Spirit.

This forum seems to be getting more and more threads against apostolic teaching. You would think that an apostolic friends forum that you would come here to get support and talk about things to support the apostolic doctrine instead a lot of threads you spend your time having to defend the faith. Not complaining just explaining. Good to sharpen your sword.

I don't know anything about the first century church aside what the bible and history teaches. The foundation that was laid by the apostles has stood all this time and I am not worried about being a carbon copy church of the first century. Seems to me they had a lot of problems too. I think that God knew that the church would constantly be shaped and changed by their outward environment but the foundation things are what doesn't change. Things that God is not pleased with will not stand the test of time.
