View Full Version : God's message to your church

So, what was God's message to YOUR assembly this week?

For US, God reminded us via Ezekiel (37) that our being forgiven, being filled with Holy Ghost, and sanctification to God is the means by which he will avenge the profaning of his name among the heathen. The heathen profane God's name, they blaspheme him, impugn his character, mock him, and despise him by their continued unbelief. But they do this largely because WE THE PEOPLE OF GOD are unsanctified and walking in worldliness. Many aren't even regenerate, just Christians in name only. And our lack of a TRUE witness inclines the world to conclude the gospel is a mere fairy tale at best.

But God has a Plan. He will sanctify his name in the sight of the heathen WHEN HE IS SANCTIFIED IN US. Our salvation is part of God's plan for proving the unbelievers wrong and without excuse. We therefore have a need to be saved that goes way beyond our own personal need to be saved. When anyone meets us they must encounter God in the power of the Holy Spirit in us.

We ought therefore to cooperate with God's plan. We must be cleansed from our idols and backslidings, and from all worldliness and distractions. We are on a mission for God to glorify his name, and so we must be filled with his spirit. He promises to do this in us, to lead us into obedience in the way of true holiness of heart and life.

We should commit to cooperating with his plan, and not hinder it by sin, lukewarmness, coldness, worldliness, nor by refusing to allow God to sanctify us, fill us with his spirit, lead us, etc.

We weren't called into his kingdom to do nothing, but we were called so God can sanctify himself in us and thereby sanctfy his name in the sight of the world.

There was more but that was the main thing.

Excellent stuff here but the last part...are there other reasons were we called into God's kingdom because when you leave it like that (and I am probably misunderstanding what you wrote) it seems to make God out to be a egomaniac.

Lol of course there is more to God's eternal purposes than showing up the heathen! lol

But this is something the Lord emphasized to us, at this time, to remind us it's not "all about us" and our own personal quest for eternal life. Saving us is a means to an end (several ends, actually), which includes the vindication of his name and reputation. It is not for our sakes that he redeemed us, but for the sake of his glory and his kingdom.

Eze 36:22
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

God wants to save mankind, and that requires not merely our telling the world that Jesus saves today, but actually having his salvation demonstrated in our lives.

So what did God say to YOU and your assembly this week?

Knowing and acknowledging the work of God and his presence in our lives was tied into the story of the incarnation and how many did not know who Jesus was. John 1:10-11

Isaiah 55:8
The problem isn't us, but our faith. Today God reminded us that it is not our talents, money or ability He seeks, but a willing and believing person through whom He may give Glory to Himself. We believe God can give our brother blessings, but we often don't believe He would do the same for us. We KNOW He is a God of miracles, but there's just no way He would ever heal someone through our prayers. In Isaiah, He let us know that His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways higher than ours.

When Peter fell into the water after looking around at the waves, Jesus called him "of little faith". But if we read carefully, Peter didn't lose faith in God. He called out to Jesus to save him because Peter knew He would. Peter knew he could count on God, but he didn't have faith that God could make him walk on water.

If only we could have faith that God wants to do something through us, how much more would the world believe in Him?

Or something like that. I'm a horrible regurgitator of stories/preachings.

We studied Hebrews 4 together, and talked about the effect of unbelief in our lives, and the fact that the Word of God is able to discern, pinpoint, and separate the unbelief in our hearts so that we can find true rest. The chapter ultimately is teaching that faith in Jesus Christ, our high priest, brings the rest that we long for and need.

Awesome message! Thank you for sharing it!

The following is a "message" received from God .... NOT to MY church, and NOT to YOUR church, but to HIS Church .......

"I love thee. Yea, beyond thine own understanding, I love thee!
Sometimes it would appear to thee that my love is nor extended unto thee, but that is when I am trying and testing thee, and seeking to draw thee even higher unto Me.
I love thee with an everlasting love. Cleave unto Me, and I will reveal even yet My greater glory unto thee.
Walk not by sight, but walk by faith, and keep your trust in Me. I alone will be able to keep thee in the dark days that lie ahead.
I promise you My grace!
I promise you My power!
I promise you My spirit in the power of My name!
Trust in Me, thy Lord and Master. I will keep thee. Yes, even unto death I will be with thee.
Now rise and let us be going to take care of the battle that lies ahead for thee. Think not on the past nor those regrets, but take hold of the power that is yours, and will go forth. We will conquer!
You will be Mine and I will be yours, and we will have the glory and share it together."

An important message, indeed! But ...... it seems that NONE have taken heed!

This "message" represents an interpretation of a "message in tongues" given during a corporate worship service at one of the largest assemblies of Oneness Apostolic Pentecostals in the Fall of 1990, more than 24 years ago. Although I was not present when it was given, it was verbally authenticated by one who was. Her name is well known to most throughout the UPCI - Vesta Mangun, the wife of the founding Pastor of the Pentecostals of Alexandria, Louisiana and the mother of its current Pastor, Anthony Mangun.

Its contents were a confirmation to me of things that I had been diligently studying for more than 10 years, yet to date, I have NEVER heard one Apostolic Preacher, Pastor, or Evangelist ever deliver a sermon regarding its contents!

The words of Proverbs 25:2 discloses that "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." Accordingly, God has caused to be "hidden" within the contents of this "message" three important issues, but NONE seem to have discovered and published them abroad, yet they are as "plain as one's hand in front of their face." These are as follows:

1.) A time of "gross spiritual blindness" lies just beyond the horizon of the morrow for the chief of the people of the earth, and ONLY our total reliance upon God are we assured of overcoming its devastation.

2.) There will NOT be an event that is commonly known as the "rapture of the church," however, God has already forgiven us for having embraced such a falsehood so we must forgive ourselves, rather death awaits every saint of God, but we need not fear, for not even death shall NOT separate us from Him.

3.) A battle of unparalleled proportions awaits the dawning of the morrow for the saints of God as "gross spiritual blindness" engulfs the minds of the majority of the earth's inhabitants, but victory for us is assured for God will fight the battle for us if we will place our confidence in Him.

The worldwide contemporary Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal assemblies, practically without exception regardless of their size or location, appear (to me at least) to have become so "caught up" in following the traditions and agendas established by men (however well intentioned they might be), that God's "leading" of His church has, for all practical purposes, been relegated to the "back burners." As a result, critically important "messages" from God such as this, are quickly disregarded and soon forgotten.

As a corporate body of saints, we've become so accustomed to adhering to the many man-made traditions we've established, that it seems we now venerate them so greatly they have taken on an air of holiness and none dare touch them lest they be accused of blasphemy!

So today the Lord told us to be ready to go when and where he leads. Ex 40 the Israelites had to be READY to pack up and move whenever the cloudy pillar moved. So we must be ready and looking for the pillar to move, or when moving for when it stops. God wants US to be actively looking for his leading because we are positioned where we are in order to be used for His glory. Also the Lord confirmed his message through a revelation given to one of us a night or two ago that tied directly into what He was saying to us today.

The Lord is good! So what is God saying to YOUR assembly?

Actually we're quite aware of what can lie down that road. We've literally been through many many times where if God didn't provide a miracle like "TODAY" we'd literally starve to death. One time a complete stranger was driving down the road and God told them to go fill up their trunk with groceries and drop them off at our house. They had no idea who we were or why but because they obeyed God we didn't starve that week.

We know what it's like in the valley, on the mountain top, and in the waste howling wilderness. But God has positioned us recently to really dedicate time and resources we didn't have even a couple months ago to furthering his kingdom. When God says get ready to move I'd rather get packed than find myself having missed the bus and hoping another chance to learn that lesson comes around without TOO much pain lol.

Today: (paraphrased from memory, of course)

God hears even those prayers that WE don't pay attention to. Even when we say a short one line prayer about some tiny insignificant thing God hears and is involved, even with the little things.

Also, three levels of worship: bland, rote mechanical "dead" worship; lively emotional "hoppin" worship... which is REALLY JUST AN OLD TESTAMENT LEVEL OF WORSHIP cause they got loud and shouted and clapped and all that.... and then there's another level, where God wants us to be, a SUPERNATURAL level, in the Spirit, with real Holy Ghost manifestation. Old Testament worship is a baseline or "bare minimum" for standard worship, but as Christians we are called to go beyond that, into real "Spirit and truth", which means manifestation of the POWER and PRESENCE of God.

If someone meets us they need to meet Jesus, by encountering the power of God. God wants to manifest His presence through each of us. So we are to seek to be used, pray to be a vessel of God's power, so others we meet will meet God.

Also, for people to receive the Holy Ghost they need to encounter people who are filled with the Spirit. Yes God can bypass us but really He wants us to be FILLED to overflowing so it can be passed on to others who need God's Spirit.

Much more but that's the short version.

So, what is God saying to YOUR church?

We got into Romans 8:11 where the Spirit is quickening our MORTAL bodies, not immortal as though this refers to the future resurrection. And we know this is a NOW-thing, not future, because the results of the Spirit quickening our mortal bodies is so we do not have to live after the flesh and it's lusts in verse 12. And verse 13 says we mortify the deeds of the Body when we believe for the Spirit to quicken our mortal bodies.

Rom 8:11-13 KJV But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The Spirit makes our mortal bodies alive spiritually when it kills the deeds of the body that are sinful.

And THAT is the degree of being led by the Spirit, by walking after the Spirit, that it refers to in verse 14 when it says such Spirit-led people are sons of God.

Rom 8:14 KJV For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

SONS is HUIOS in Greek, meaning MATURE children. So, we're not mature until we can be led by the Spirit to quicken our mortal bodies and mortify the fleshly lustful deeds!

And the world is waiting for such MATURE believers to rise up so it can be delivered from bondage, too!

Rom 8:19-20 KJV For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

But if we're not enjoying victory over our fleshly deeds by seeing His Spirit quicken our bodies while they're still mortal, instead of sin ruling our mortal bodies (Ro 6:12), then we're no help to creation. We can only help them get delivered into liberty if we'
re enjoying the liberty over our own fleshly lusts!

THAT is what we got into today in our church meeting!

In our fellowship meeting this week, the passage Heb. 13:17 was discussed.

Hebrews 13:17
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Our final conclusion after a bible study where we examined the context, meaning of the words, and overall message of this passage was this:

This scripture is a continuation of the preceding scriptures talking about one's conversation (life style) and sanctification (being separated unto God). This scripture continues the thought by saying that we can follow the example of godly leaders because 1) their purpose is to be servants to meet our spiritual needs and 2) they have motivation to live godly because they have to give an account for their own example.

Notes were taken throughout our study, and I can share those with anyone who is interested.

Wow. Step out in faith and believe God and things will start happening.

1. We baptised my daughter today in the name of Jesus Christ. Glory HALLELUJAH!

2. A song was given by the Spirit which blessed us greatly.

3. Shared my testimony as did my wife (how we "got over").

4. The Holy Ghost moved and interrupted our service in a mighty good way.

God is moving and prepping us for the next phase.

BTW a ram's horn shofar when blown in the Spirit has a powerful effect in "flooring" people into worship. Can't explain it and normally I'd think it wacky or something but WOW. Seriously.

We had some good church today, better than I've seen in awhile.

Sorry I missed this post - so awesome to hear that your daughter was baptized in the service! Praise the Lord for that, and for all the things the Lord is doing in your midst!

Our group has begun a study on fruits of the spirit, and discovered that there are 3 other fruits of the spirit listed in the NT beyond the ones in Gal. 5:22-23.

Had several words from God to several different brothers and sisters, coming FROM several different brothers and sisters. Also had a healing during our prayer time (nothing spectacular, but one asked for prayer for cold symptoms and then testified later the symptoms were gone).

Several things were confirmed to several people, I can't keep track of it any more lol. God is beginning to move more and more, literally from meeting to the next.

A constant theme is holiness, the sanctifying presence of the Holy Ghost, and "getting prepared to go where the cloudy pillar leads".

We are now beginning outreach to the locals (beyond just merely personal "chance" encounters with people). We are small but God is B I G! And we are sensing a restlessness, a sense of "something's getting ready to happen", that God is prepping us for the next level. This is coming from several different directions at once, as though God wants two or three (actually about 9 or 10 lol) witnesses to establish what he's saying to us.

I am seeing more manifestation of the Spirit, as people are praying and desiring and expecting to be used by God however HE chooses.

For the first time in over 20 years - since I first came into the church in the middle of a revival - I am genuinely EXCITED about "church", instead of years and years of feeling like the victim of a bait and switch, or of wondering "why do these pentecostals seem no different that a bunch of loud baptists?" lol

So, what is the Lord saying to YOUR church? What is the message of the hour for your assembly?

That's awesome Bro. ! We are meeting this afternoon... I will try to report back :) I am thrilled to hear how the Lord is blessing those whom you gather with, with healing, encouragement, and desires for revival - may God continue to pour out whatever He has in store for your fellowship!

"Unto what then were you baptized?"

Short version: baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins is so you can receive the Holy Ghost and be filled with all the blessings of God. If you were baptised for some other reason (to join a church, to fit in with the crowd, or some other selfish reason) you missed the point. Jesus died so we can have the Spirit, so the Almighty God could take up residence INSIDE of us, in our heart. We are to be baptised unto him and his death and resurrection so that we can actually be saved - that is, so we can be filled with his Spirit and have him enthroned in our life, so every nook and cranny can be filled with all the fulness of the one holy God.

Much more but that's the basic gist.

One person right before meeting suffering migraine, healed during prayer before the meeting.

Also had a good prayer/tarrying service, we all decided to add a midweek prayer meeting.

God is good!

Our group has begun a study on fruits of the spirit, and discovered that there are 3 other fruits of the spirit listed in the NT beyond the ones in Gal. 5:22-23.

Has anyone else studied this out?i have always heard the missing 3 were Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Arnold Murray again, i think :D ) do you have another take?

(12 fruits on tree of life, 9 listed in Gal, is i think how that goes)

Sorry I missed this post - so awesome to hear that your daughter was baptized in the service! Praise the Lord for that, and for all the things the Lord is doing in your midst!

Sorry Shazeep that I missed this! Just found it today.

So, there are 9 fruits of the spirit listed in Galatians, but there are 3 more that can be found in the NT mentioned as fruit of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

Ephesians 5:9 "For the fruit of the spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness and truth".

Romans 6:22 "But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life."

So the fruits of the spirit as found through the NT:
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Longsuffering
5. Gentleness
6. Goodness
7. Faith
8. Meekness
9. Temperance
10. Holiness
11. Righteousness
12. Truth

Very good teaching on baptism. So many get baptized simply because they don't want to go to hell. It is good teaching for everyone to understand that baptism is symbolic of the death of your self nature and will, and your willingness to rise in newness of life given to us through Jesus Christ.

Glad that the Lord is doing great things in your midst!

In our meeting this past week, we worshiped and prayed together, and then someone shared their thoughts on peace. Several scriptures were shared on peace, and different illustrations of peace - one being of Jesus asleep in the boat in the midst of the storm. We talked about the peace of God that is most real to us when it comes to us in the midst of very difficult storms. Several shared situations where the Lord had provided for them in difficult storms and valleys. It was very encouraging. We closed with prayer for the different needs of those in our midst, and extended families and friends. God is good!

Thank you, you are too kind. Recording via cellphone mic really makes it hard to hear correctly. Not to mention if everybody gets a little loud to begin with lol. The recording kind of gives the impression that nothing could be heard clearly for some of it but that's due to the cruddy mic.

There was a "shoutin testimony" about halfway in there which a listener probably has no idea what it was about lol. But basically a horse that had gone "pasture wild" almost trampled and possibly killed someone who rebuked it in the name of the Lord and it immediately stopped and chilled out.

So if you have a young horse don't let it run loose in a large pasture for weeks unless you intend on seeing how much faith you really have. :)

Power To Get Wealth

part 1
Deu 8:1-20.. All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. ..(2).. And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. ..(3).. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. ..(4).. Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. ..(5).. Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. ..(6).. Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him. ..(7).. For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; ..(8).. A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; ..(9).. A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. ..(10).. When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. ..(11).. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: ..(12).. Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; ..(13).. And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; ..(14).. Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; ..(15).. Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; ..(16).. Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; ..(17).. And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. ..(18).. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. ..(19).. And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. ..(20).. As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.

Verse 10 is the reason why God's people throughout the ages have the custom of not only giving thanks before meals, but also giving thanks AFTER meals as well. It is to remind us that all the blessings we have, we get from God, and not by our own innate ability.

God says in verse 18 that He gives His people power to get wealth.

Power = strength, ability, capacity.
Wealth = resources. Not just money, but whatever resources are needed to accomplish any particular task or purpose.

The chapter gives a list of the blessings God gave to His people in regards to houses, lands, natural resources from which are extracted iron aind brass, and so forth. The wealth, then, is not merely money, but resources of whatever kind.

The reason He gives His people power to get wealth, that is, the reason he gives His people the ability to access resources, is that His covenant may be established.

Established means to "make good" or to "fulfill", to bring it to pass, to make it happen. If you make good on a promise, you fulfill your promise or "establish" your promise. God's covenant is His promise.

The covenant is the covenant made with our ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. While it included the land of Canaan, it included much more. Some of the promises involved the following:

Being in covenant relationship with Jehovah
Blessing every nation, tribe, family, language group on the earth
Controlling the resources of the world *see note at end

Blessing every nation, tribe, and family on earth includes material as well as spiritual blessings. The greatest spiritual blessing of course being the saving knowledge of God, His Christ, His Gospel, His Word and His ways.

The covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob began to be fulfilled through the agreement God established with their descendants at Sinai. Unfortunately, Israel rebelled repeatedly and broke that covenant, and 10 tribes were reduced to deportation out of the land, and Judah likewise (for a short time, though a remnant was allowed to return). God decided to make a new covenant in order to secure the obedience and faithfulness of His people. Yet, this new covenant did not involve an abrogation of the covenant with the Fathers (Patriarchs). Just as the "old covenant" at Sinai was the mechanism by which the Abrahamic and Patriarchal Covenant was intended to be fulfilled, so too the new covenant is the current mechanism by which that Patriarchal covenant is to be fulfilled:

Luk 1:67-75.. And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, ..(68).. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, ..(69).. And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; ..(70).. As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: ..(71).. That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; ..(72).. To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; ..(73).. The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, ..(74).. That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, ..(75).. In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Gal 3:13-14.. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: ..(14).. That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

God's Divine Plan involves establishing His covenant, that is to say, making good on His promises to Abraham (and Isaac and Jacob). This is only going to happen via the new covenant. Establishing His covenant requires that His people be given power to access whatever resources are necessary to bring that about. The establishment of that covenant includes teaching and leading all nations of the earth into a condition of obedience and submission to Christ. God's people are tasked with the responsibility of leading the nations, tribes, families, tongues, etc of the entire world into submission to the Kingdom of God.

It is a fact that generally speaking one cannot exert influence on others unless one has some kind of power and influence to do so. A homeless man does not exert influence on national policy. A poor guy living in a trailer park subsisting on minimum wage is not in a position to challenge the mainstream media with its ceaseless onslaught of ungodly and perverted propaganda. A guy flipping burgers for a living is simply not positioned to redirect the educational system of the nation in a godly direction.

So God gives His people power to get wealth, that is, He gives His people the ability to become the influencers, the movers and the shakers, the "powers that be", to direct all of human society GLOBALLY towards God. That is His Plan and Goal:

Mic 4:1-3.. But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. ..(2).. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ..(3).. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

In order for God's people to lead and direct the nations of the earth into the knowledge of God, they must have the necessary influence, power, yes, the necessary "wealth" to get the job done. Remember, wealth is RESOURCES, not necessarily money.

We are told to seek this:

Mat 6:31-33.. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ..(32).. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ..(33).. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The kingdom of God is the dominion of God. We are to seek the dominion of God and His righteousness. His righteousness is His justice, His goodness, as enumerated in the Word of God. By seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we put God's program first, God's ways first, God's Plan first. Then as we do that, God "adds all these things" to us - ie wealth, or resources. These resources are designed to enable us to carry out the message of the Kingdom or RULE of God.

We are told to pray for this:

Mat 6:9-13.. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. ..(10).. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. ..(11).. Give us this day our daily bread. ..(12).. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. ..(13).. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

We are to pray that God's kingdom come, that His will be done on the earth as it is in heaven. We are commanded to pray that the whole earth would submit to the dominion and rule of God and do His will. That is God establishing His covenant in the earth.

Remember, wealth = resources, whether material, or spiritual. The gift of the Holy Ghost is the missing ingredient that empowers God's people to DO His will and establish His covenant. All other resources become available to us once we have the Holy Spirit and are led by God in faith.

Power To Get Wealth

part 2

But we must be aware of the Plan, and actively seek it by faith:

Jas 4:2-3 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (3) Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

We must EXPECT God to give us power to get wealth (strength to access whatever resources are necessary) to establish His covenant (position us to lead the world - near and far - to the obedience of faith):

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Deut 8 explains how the process works. AS we are faithful and obedient to God, as we seek Him diligently, in full assurance of expectation that God will DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO, as we seek first and foremost as our number one priority the universal dominion of God in all the earth, then the resources to accomplish that task will made available to us. We will be given the strength to begin controlling and using those resources - whatever they may be, spiritual and material, as the need requires. We will be put into position of leadership and control over the world to lead the world to obedience to Christ.

It may sound hard to believe, but this is the GOSPEL or GOOD NEWS of God's KINGDOM. His Kingdom IS AT HAND, it is available. It is not limited to this life, it is not solely consisting in teaching the nations to love God and to obey Him, it definitely includes ETERNAL LIFE in immortality. But it certainly doesn't exclude teaching the nations either.

Dan 2:34-35 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. (35) Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Dan 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

The thought of Deut 8 is expressed very succinctly in Psalm 67:

Psa 67:1-7 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. (2) That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. (3) Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. (4) O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. (5) Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. (6) Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. (7) God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

The prayer is for God's blessing upon His people. The purpose of the blessing is to make God's way known upon the earth and His salvation known among ALL nations. As God blesses His people (gives them power to get wealth), they are able to make God's way known upon the earth and teach all nations His GOSPEL. The purpose of this is because God shall judge the people and govern the nations. (Thy kingdom come, they will be done on earth, etc.) The people will praise God. Not just with the mouth, but with their life, their living, from the heart. As this heart-felt sincere obedience occurs, the earth yields her increase. That is, God makes available the wealth or resources. God's people are blessed, and the result? All the ends of the earth shall FEAR HIM.

God created all humanity, every nation, tribe, family, etc. As their Creator, He knows best how they should live, how they should organise and govern their societies, from individuals to the entirety of mankind as a whole. He has decided that all humanity SHALL follow His instructions and live as He has designed mankind to live. The mechanism by which this is to be achieved is through Abraham and His descendants, faithfully serving Him, exercising dominion over the earth, leading and guiding the nations to a right knowledge of the Creator. They were and are destined to spread God's Biblical Civilisation across the entire planet. Much has been done already, but much remains to be done.

Are you prepared to enter into the Divine Work? Enlarge the scope of your vision, open your eyes to what is possible, to what God is really wanting to do. He has no intention of just abandoning mankind to the devil and to wickedness and stupidity. He intends for His people be the head, and not the tail, to be the leaders and not the followers.

Remember:

Deu 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:

You cannot seek God's kingdom and His righteousness by ignoring His ways as written in His Word:

Jas 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (23) For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: (24) For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. (25) But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

But some will say, "I am not really anybody, I have very little influence, or maybe none at all." Remember the opening passage, it included this:

Deu 8:2-5 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. (3) And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. (4) Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. (5) Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

You may be in the wilderness of obscurity or poverty at present, seemingly inconsequential. But God took His people through the wilderness, hidden from the world, to TEST, and to TEACH:

To test their heart, whether they would really obey God and remain faithful and sincere
To teach them that God's people live by every Word of God, whatever other's might do

God is testing some of you, to see if you will be faithful in the little things, to see if when you are hanging by a thread you will remain faithful and sincere and obedient. God is using that testing to TEACH you to rely utterly on God, to recognise that everything is directed by God. This is to prevent you from getting haughty and arrogant later on, and forget God and His ways. Pass the test, get ahold of His promises, and diligently seek Him in faithful submission. He will give you power to get wealth to establish His covenant in the earth. He will use YOU to accomplish His purposes:

Isa 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

*Controlling the resources of the world:

Deu 33:13-17.. And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, ..(14).. And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, ..(15).. And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, ..(16).. And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. ..(17).. His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.

Gen 49:22-26.. Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: ..(23).. The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: ..(24).. But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) ..(25).. Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: ..(26).. The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.

Gen 27:27-29.. And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed: ..(28).. Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: ..(29).. Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.

Gen 28:12-14.. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. ..(13).. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; ..(14).. And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 32:28.. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Rom 4:13.. For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

Isa 49:22-23.. Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. ..(23).. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

Found this interesting about the fast God has required...what it requires of us and what God promises the result will be.

Isaiah 58

King James Version

58 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Ephesians 4:23-24 (ESV),

23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

As we read through, exhort, and teach on, Ephesians, per the 1 Timothy 4:13 model in our Friday night meetings, the Spirit arrested our attention here in chapter 4 to notice that, in order to be renewed in the spirits of our minds we have to put on the new self, which is created after the likeness of God.

This drew us to Genesis 1 when God first made man and woman in His image and likeness, to show us how the new self is the original image and likeness of God that humanity had before the Fall.

From this, the Spirit led us to understand and receive that the true self is a self that has not been corrupted by the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but rather, is alive with the fruit of the tree of life. That in redemption, God restores us to the Garden paradise and washes the contamination of the knowledge of good and evil while simultaneously endowing us with eternal life from the Tree.

Your welcome! :highfive

This morning I'm reading 2 Chronicles 17, King Jehoshaphat followed the Lord and God blessed him so that he was able to fortify the cities his Father had captured and teach the Law of the Lord in all the cities, then God gave the Kingdom peace and prosperity. It is an example of your message.

I believe so. In any event, the Feast certainly teaches us about God pitching His tent among us (John 1:14), among other things.
