I had not been to campmeeting for a few years but due to our son in law
pastor, our oldest son, a nephew and two other men from our church, who
were invited to sing at CM, our oldest daughter and three of her five sons
and I wanted to go and support them. My husband and our daughter's
husband were working so we went alone. Last night on the final night of
CM, our daughter's 9 yr. old son received the Holy Ghost. His four brothers
already had the Holy Ghost! He was so happy and plans to be baptized in
the AM service tomorrow. Our oldest son's 14 yr. old son almost received it.
Bro. Ron Mullins was a morning speaker and yesterday he made the state-
ment that an inheritance is what you receive. A legecy is what is passed on,
Those who have gone before us passed on our inheritance to us. We are
passing it on to our children and grandchildren. I do not want to short
change my family by not passing on what so graciously has been passed
on to me. I know it was by much sacrifice that I have received so great
inheritance. I do not take it lightly.
May all who come behind us find us faithful!!!

Another great report. I like coming to the board for the sheer encouragement of the matter. I'm so glad to hear this news and I am certainly glad you got to be there.

Wonderful news, Sis Fella.........I also like the newspaper report. It's great to read something positive about the church.

Thank you, Sis. Sarah,
Your comment instantly brought Prov. 25:25 to mind.
""As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from
a far country". We, as the family of God should all rejoice
when we hear "good news". There is far too much "sad and
bad" news in the world today! We need to share the "good
news" and rejoice as do the angels when another soul is born.
Like when we have a new baby in the family. We like to tell
others about the new "baby" in the family. (or grandbaby or
great-grandbaby).:happydance:happydance:happydance

I think the article talking about the immaculate grounds and the nice people at camp meeting speaks volumes. Too often, Christians have the opposite reputation in the media.

Sis. Sherri,
Many times the bad news hits the newspaper first...but in this case thank God for a good report.
Sis. Falla, I rejoice with you...God is good.
Please pray for my granddaughter Samantha...she is 6 and needs the Holy Ghost. You are never too young for God to get a hold of your heart...she has such a tender heart...
Love & Blessings, Rhoni
P.S. I love being a Nana

Sis. Sherri,
This is SO true. We are His ambassadors and are representatives of
the KINGDOM of God. Our actions and how we present ourselves before
this world, tells them much about Him. Our words also speak volumes
to them. For what is flowing out our mouths tells them what source
it is coming from.

While at Tx Dist. CM, my daughter's cell phone would not work in the hotel
or at the campground. My cell had bit the dust so I didn't take it with me. My
eldest son and his family left earlier than we did as they were staying in a
neighboring town, so we did not see them until Sunday morn. and learned
that another grandson, 14 yrs. old had also received the Holy Ghost Friday
night! The 9 yr. old, our eldest daughter's son was baptized Sunday morning.
The older grandson had already been baptized.
God is great and doing great things!! He always has!! Always will!!
Blessings,
Falla39
