Anyone have any stories about the mystical "Glow" Apostolics are said to take on after a powerful Holy Ghost experience?

My pastor just recently told a story about how one night after service he and his family and a few other church members went out to eat and when they walked into the restaurant a waitress looked at them and said "Wow! You guys are glowing!"

I've also heard it said that the aforementioned "Glow" is why "Apostolic ladies don't need no makeup", lol.

What about you?

The glow is a very happy look on the face. That's all.

The sinner may see a "glow" as a sign/wonder. The Lord has a way of attracting souls to holiness saints.

I honestly have no idea what you are referring to. Maybe some biblical reference via Moses and Jesus but I haven't noticed a visual "Glow" about people.

I can tell a difference but I don't think I would characterize it as a glow...

I don't know if they still have it, but my parents used to have an article they cut out of the OKC newspaper when the UPCI General Conference was there. The article mentioned a glow on the women. I don't know the exact verbiage, but my father has referenced it in his messages over the years.

I have seen and have experienced this glow-- as told to me by others.

Once after I was done praying for awhile, but this experience and compliment was many, many years ago.

The "glow" I was referring to, is a "sense" of purity in a Holy Ghost filled believer that the sinner observes. They look holiness in appearance, but also in the sinners' intuitiveness...

Just like a Godly woman can sense a pervert a mile away, the sinner can sense a saint intuitively.

There was a visible glow on my grand, other the night she received the Holy Ghost. I remember it vividly. Others saw it as well.

I would just like to comment that you saying quote

"I've also heard it said that the aforementioned "Glow" is why "Apostolic ladies don't need no makeup", lol."

Is saying that Apostolic ladies DO need make up.... which they most certainly do not.

I know. I used incorrect grammar because it is funnier and I was quoting an older church member.

Is this similar to the "Soul Glow" product in the Eddie Murphy movie from years ago "Coming to America"?

Isaiah 60:1-2

"Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you."

I believe that the glory of the Lord will be physically seen on the faces of His bride in these last days, like it did on Moses. Something else other than words of profession has to separate the true from the false!

2.1 billion people profess to be Christians, if those 2.1 billion people really were Christians the whole earth would be glowing wouldn't it?

Act 17:22 KJV Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Next you will be telling me we shouldn't expect gold dust to fall when the presence of God is in the room!

The "glow" happens when someone prays through, gets lost in the Spirit and is sanctified. It is an overwhelming feeling of the power of God we receive, which is noticeably manifested outwardly to folks, when we finish praying like that.

If someone want the "glow", just pray in the Spirit for about an hour. No distractions.

You will know exactly what this thread is about.

Those that have the Holy Ghost, yet do not pray though weekly, keep the Holy Ghost bottled up in the carnal body. It(HG) wants to be outwardly manifested through prayer in the Spirit....

Let it out through prayer in the Spirit, there will be outward manifestations of it!
