I was reading a book in Kindle last night and the tablet shut down. I can't get it to power up or down. It had a golden glow throughout the night and now it is black, but if you turn it on its side, you can see a faint blue screen.

I have held the power button on while tapping the screen - nothing. The charger doesn't do anything, and replacing the battery is a bit of a process. If it is not the battery and I have removed the yellow tape inside, it could invalidate my warranty.

Even though it is still under warranty, is there something I could do on my end? Or is it toast?

Okay, so I allowed the battery to run down all night. I then kept it on the charger and periodically, simultaneously, held down the power and volume buttons. Now it is working. Don't know what that was about.

Glad you got it figured out... these electronic devices can sure bring stress when they don't work right!

Lol! That would have been my first thought. But, it was charged and suddenly stopped. The weird part was, I couldn't power it down, and the chord charger wouldn't do anything. I set it upside down on the nightstand to allow the battery to die and to keep the screen from being annoying. By morning the light from the screen was finally black. I still couldn't get the tablet to respond when I put it on the charger.

Checking online, I read that many times charging it from the computer works better than an outlet. But then, my computer finally wanted to upgrade to Windows 10, so that option was out. Lol! I wanted to check that out.

Anyway, after all that (lol), I plugged it back into the charger and did the other option I read about, come back ever so often and press both the power and volume buttons at the same time. It either worked or the tablet decided to cooperate with the charger. Lol!
