There is alot of talk about Standards on AFF.
Being a disciple of Christ demands one follows standards of the heart and of commitment.
So will be people be lost for all eternity who truly don't love their neighbor as themselves ?
How many believers really follow this standard of Holiness ?

Is not debateable that''s why to many it's not as important.
It's more fun to throw stones than try to throw a helping hand to people.
Besides loving your neignbor as yourself doesn't build up one's ego.

John 13:34-35
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Some just don't get it. I stated maybe a week ago that maybe this is ignored because some don't love their brother!!!
Anyway, the real sign of a disciple is a cleanshaven face... long sleeves.. no make up.. no jewelry.. long hair and skirts on women...

In my revivals I always ask people if they love the Lord. I always get the same answer, everyone raises their hand and says yes. Then I tell them the scripture points out that if we Love him (the Lord) we will keep his commandments....then I ask "What is the second greatest commandment of all time"?
If we love our neighbor as our self we would be sitting next to them in church! We love our self enough to be there and be saved! I realize we cant make them come but if we really worked hard at helping them be saved I believe they would come!
Just my two cents!
Good Thread!

P.S. I hear from a lot of people via phone, email etc...many are really going through battles when they become soul winners. The Lord gave me something very powerful to help encourage soul winners who fight the enemy every step!
"If a Soul Winner is not going through Hell - He or She is not close enough to the fire to pull anyone out!"
Jude 1:23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Wow, a whole chapter devoted to Love.
I don't have a problem with having standards, but I do have a problem with not showing love even to those that don't agree with me.
1 Corinthians 13:1 - 13 (KJV)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
As I've heard it said "If Jesus is the root, love will be the fruit".
DWW ... you're such a softie.
