As some may know I'm a respiratory therapist in the busiest NICU in California. This is 'Mila' one of my little friends. Already 3 months old when the picture was taken.

The smallest 'viable' baby I've taken care of was just a tick under a pound. She's doing great today.

Is it because they are preemies that there is a problem? Or was she a twin also?

Awww....so sad to lose one, but hopefully the surviving twin will grow up and live a long, healthy life.
Thanks to you.......

Here's a very intimate and sad picture. It's me taking the first baby off life support -heaven bound......One of the tougher things I've had to do recently..

As health care workers, we have such an awesome job. We can't prevent the inevitable sometimes, but we can be a source of comfort when those times come.
