Question is it a sin for a male to wear a womans perfume? Is there anywhere in the bible that condemns this? Also I believe there is a scripture that talks about wearing a womens garment in the OT . But haven't found scripture for scents. Any help or constructive holy ghost advice you might be able to offer?

Interesting question. Although I have no answer it caused me to think about the function of perfuem and cologne. I recently read an article on church leaders about pastoral dangers. One of the remarks in the article warned pastors against cologne because it draws undo attention from the opposite sex. The function of perfume is to please the one who smells us. The Bible speaks of incense and perfumes. The children burnt specified incense unto the Lord and it was required that it was for God only that it should be used.

Exodus 30:34 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense:of each shall there be a like weight:35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:36 And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee:it shall be unto you most holy. 37 And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof:it shall be unto thee holy for the Lord. 38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.

In the NT testatment it is our alms aka good deeds that go up to God.

Philippians 4:18 But I have all, and abound:I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

Acts 10:4 And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

I believe our works in life are of more importance than the way we dress or smell. I am not saying that the outward doesn't matter because it does, but I think sins originate in the heart.
