Our daughter that is married to Missionary Chad Thomas was just taken to the hospital. She is 4 months expecting...Please pray as last year they lost their 1st baby when she was 3 months along...
Right now Chad is in the states traveling and he has no idea that Beckie is not doing well... Our son Michael is with her and daughter in law Marcela and another son are on their way to the hospital. As soon as Brother Alvear gets in from church we will go. Please be in prayer for her.

Thanks so much for your prayers and please keep praying. They let her come home this morning she must hve absolute bed rest and is taking some medicines. I finally got in touch with Brother Chad and he is very concerned but we told him to stay in the states as he had planned as he is raising their support (monthly). If anyone would feel to help them in any way you can do so by sending to my home address and I will see she gets it. They are sweet kids but both terribly bashful and have very little support. I mean very little but both are good helpers to us so we mainly have kept them up until they develope more "deputation" skills.
He is the one that helps in a little city called Maribondo and drives the church van and does the jobs nobody else wants to do. They lost their first baby last year. It was so sad and our hospitals are something else in this area...You could film horror stories in most of these in our area and it would not just be a show it would be the real thing.
When my sister came to visit our mother that had a stroke her she was so afraid of or hospital she cried and told me it was like the "gestapo". The guards always yelling showing their authority and so dirty.
In some cities of Brazil they do have nicer hospitals but not here. However we look to Jesus and no matter where a person is Jesus is present.
I have got her in the bed and she is restng.
I will keep you all informed on her progress. Blessings to all this early rainey morning from Brazil. Mom Alvear

We are in the Northeast. The South is far more modern...
So far today my daughter has been in bed and she seems to be doing better thanks to everyones prayers. Her doctor did call today but as I said she has Rubella!
Love you folks.

Beckie has been sick at her stomach today but I think the medicine is very strong. She walked over to the church for part of the service. Please continue to remember her in prayers. Thank You.

Momma Alvear, we are praying for your daughter. Please, ground that gal, and make her follow the doctor's orders for strict bedrest.
