Ended up on its side, after sudden unintended acceleration. She is beat up pretty bad but thank you Jesus....no broken bones or concussion.
Insurance has totaled the car.

Praise God she is doing ok. We have a car that does that and we haven't driven it in 3 months. Going to see if the Lincoln Ford dealership can fix it. Was hers a Lincoln by any chance? We bought ours from a private individual. I have seen where people have this problem but NONE of the complaints told what caused it or how to repair it. The last time it happened he quickly pulled off to the side of the road and put it in neutral and turned the engine off. Started back up and it ran fine but just afraid to drive it.

Glad she is ok. I know that must have been scary for her.

Glad to hear she was not hurt any worse!
Curious to know what kind of vehicle she was driving?

Keeping Sister Was in prayer, and praying for a fast recovery.

Brother Manuel got tagged on his motorcycle Saturday morning. Bike is totaled, but he is sore and worn. Keep him in prayer. No more motorcycle riding for him. Wife and three young children, and a body shop to run. Sadly, some can't do both. Hope Sister Was feels better in Jesus name.

She can see out of both eyes again. One was swelled shut from maybe hitting the rearview mirror. Very bruised and sore, but moving around - been a few days now so starting to heal.

Jesus touch her and heal her. She needs lots of rest.

You might want to check to see if there is a recall for her make of car. As I stated a few posts up about our Lincoln. My husband drove it to the Ford Dealership yesterday and he said it would be 3 weeks before they could get to it. Manager said he had never heard of the problem BUT said, his mother fell asleep and totaled 2 other cars so I think he has heard about it but didn't want to give much information. He also said, a lot of the times it is caused by the floor mats so I think he really did know more. When we had our problem, it was not caused by floor mats on the gas pedal.

Glad she is doing better. Praise God

We have heard floor mats caused a similar accident. This and others led to a lawsuit against Toyota. If you Google toyota sudden acceleration you will find that is what they blame it on.

She had just adjusted hers, so we know that was not it.

They totalled the car- at least I wont have to worry about her driving it again.

I pray she gets to feeling better ASAP.

Sudden unexplained acceleration is code for "electronic controlled accelerators can't be trusted". I like physical throttle linkages, myself. Computer controlled accelerators, combined with computer controlled gear shifting, computer controlled braking, and computer controlled steering is just a little too HAL9000 for my tastes.
