I found 2 churches “nearby.” :lol
One is Calvary Tabernacle in Bentonville (9miles). The other is The Pentecostals of Northwest Arkansas (13 miles).
I haven’t found anything closer.

That was a song by Dave Garrett. He was a A/P Pastor from Canada.

That’s 20 miles out. We don’t have a vehicle. Thanks anyway. I’m going to see if any of these churches have a van or maybe someone out this way they attends.

I messaged both churches. I got a reply from one. .
Then the pastor personally contacted me to ask if anyone reached out. He is sending a van for us in the morning.
I’m filled with joy. One of my friends is a “kid” who attends the same church back home. The other friend is his age and is an agnostic. The night before we left one of the young ministers from our church met with them. He prayed with them. Our agnostic friend broke down into tears. He said he felt something. I told him that he felt the Holy Spirit.
This guy wasn’t open to attending church at all. We’ve invited him many times. But he can’t deny what he felt. He’s accompanying us to church in the morning.

DELETE this thread. I shouldn’t have asked a bunch of strangers online if they are familiar with these churches. I should have called every pastor in the area to discuss every doctrinal stance and standard.

Did I miss something?????.... be more productive with your time and if you call just have a list of your requirements for a church and see if they agree to them rather than having to listen to all their stances lol

It works for me. But, I wouldn’t of moved to an area and then started to figure out where to go. I’d already started my due diligence way prior to my leaving.
But that’s just me. I’m funny like that. Having someone on a forum tell me that Pastor Foofoofnick is a great guy and that the church is awesome would be the opinion of 50 different posters. But the church may be the biggest waste of MY time. Therefore, time better served would be calling people YOU know, and who know YOU, to steer YOU to the place right for YOU. Like the Brother YOU and I know. He might be able to give you a heads up for a good place. Then again you might not like the choice. Again, coming to a forum to ask what is a good church, and then turning around and telling the forum that their choices are legalistic? Kind of makes one think they wasted their time posting a church. You understand where I’m coming from now?

That works.
Call church ABC tell Pastor Foofoofnick all the things you want.
Right?

Thats why I would have done the same thing Lily did. My experience is many Pastors dont like to be bothered with questions about doctrine and practice.

Well, I’ve never met a pastor that didn’t want to be questioned. But someone calling asking 100 questions would raise flags, at least for me.
I’d tell ‘em, come check us out. You’re not obliged to stay. God bless you on your merry way.

I have called many and found only a few that seemed interested in talking about doctrine. Yea what you said you would tell them is what they GENERALLY DO say.

It may be in your approach, also what you consider doctrine.
