As part of the "stimulus" package for dealing with the crisis, we are now giving an additional $600 per week for every person who is approved by their state to receive unemployment.
I have an employee, who came to me this morning upset that she was now making less than several of her neighbors who are now receiving close to $1000 week, since their jobs are closed.
Most of the are now making DOUBLE what they were when they were working.

The worst case scenario here is high inflation.
Anyway, they are rushing through this, so expect a lot of anomalies like that. They are hoping that this money injection will help people to make it and also to boost the economy when it is done by the spending of those that have the money handouts leftover.

Do you ever consider that maybe the government really isn't "trying to help" the common person? I'm not being snarky, it just seems too many people seem to think Uncle Sam is some jolly, kind, benevolent character who only has our best interests at heart. And not the guy who assassinated Kennedy, runs drugs by the plane loads, bombs and invades countries massacres thousands for oil, poppies, money, and resources, that puts people in jail for suggesting apricot seeds might kill cancer while promoting known carcinogenic garbage being injected into babies, that allows mothers to murder their unborn child for no reason at all.... Etc....

I really think that by being so generous with the handouts the government Hope's to put people's mind at ease(take no thought for the fact you can only do essential spending)(even if you wanted to you couldn't take a vacation), and keep their thoughts off of the future. The longer we wait to get back going the more likely it is that small businesses wont recover. This is a perfect environment for Big State to save the day. More government run corporations for the slave population. Because after socialism fails and it
Will, then the true root of socialism(communism)manifests its ugly head. Once noone wants to support the entitlement class, they will be forced to work at the government owned factories and corporation.
