Bit of a longer video, but some interesting stuff in there, though only the first 20 minutes are related to the topic. But hey, at least Harvard has some diverging points of view. One side says home schooling is bad and should be regulated. The other side says home schooling is bad and should be eliminated.

That's diverse.....right? :foottap

The moderator of the debate between those two drastically different sides, has some very extreme views on parental rights. From around the 10:30 mark:

The state needs to be the ultimate guarantor of a child's well being, there's just no alternative to that. The reason parent-child relationships exist, is because the state confers legal parenthood on people, through it's paternity and maternity laws. That's the state that is empowering parents to do anything with children. To take them home, to take custody and to make any kind of decision about that.

Sorry, Harvard doesn't get a say in how my children are raised.

This is an interesting article, as it lines out how Harvard professor Elizabeth Bartholet has some credibility behind her regarding causes she has supported. It is both rather clever and deceitful.

Harvard Law Professor Wants To Ban Homeschooling Because Christians Do It
Bartholet has a long career of advocating for child welfare policies, so her alleged concerns for child safety are almost convincing. However, she gives the game away when she lists the potential costs of her proposed restrictions on homeschooling.
