Information causes fear in people who haven't pre-planned and who are prone to normalcy bias. This nurse isn't saying anything many of us haven't known for DECADES already. The hospital is about the WORST place you can be in just about ANY situation except heart attack or broken limbs or blunt trauma or penetration wounds. And even those are sketchy situations anyway.

I do not understand why a person with a fever would go to the doctor much less a hospital (unless they are already in fragile condition to begin with).

I do not understand why information/news (much less an internet post) would cause anyone to be afraid - UNLESS it's bad news about something they haven't prepared for. And even then?

I guess some people's default response is to run in circles and panic while the rest of us respond appropriately and calmly? Are people too fragile to handle reality?

And Christians? How is it even possible for a Christian to fear news? Seems if that's the case that person's problem isn't the news, it's something more fundamental.

Is your problem hard? Be harder than your problem.

Maybe everyone needs to spend 6 months in a boxing gymn sometime in their life.

There was a woman at work today - during a conversation about wearing masks - who was talking about how she is afraid because of C19, and didn't understand how we (the employees) couldn't be afraid. I immediately responded that I simply put my trust in God. It was like a light suddenly went on, and the realization just dawned on her.

People who trust in God have no need to fear, whether it be famine, pestilence, plague, violence or even death. It's not even about preperation, though there's certainly no harm (and much good) in doing so. It all boils down to our relationship with our Creator.

People become afraid of ALL such things and must be encouraged to have faith. I never said the media and government are not fearmongers.

Whether we understand it or not, it does cause fear. This world is so fear prone that constant reference to a conspiracy freaks them out. So, I am just saying we need to encourage faith.

Unless of course one believes the media and justifies what they say as truth.(IOW unavoidable fear)I suppose we could debate that idea.
So this would really be about who has the truth, or if your a bible believer with a different perspective from ,mainstream media(even though it's a fact based perspective) then you are not allowed to share it as it may cause fear.
It seems the battle cry has changed and as the church(church=as far as a public worship place/regardless of denomination) has accepted worldly religion, has no use for a trutkand noptcCgbut the truth position. It's no wonder the Holy Ghost is leading Godly people to gather and fellowship in home churches and away from the secular religious environment found in most Pentecostal churches, where often bible truths are not welcomed.
I would be surprised if in 10yrs there is any public worship, unless they are fully government compliant and fully immersed into political correctness. This type of atmosphere is hostile toward the truth of Gods word and he doesnt force his presence where he is not wanted.

What's interesting to me is on the one hand people say the media is not to be believed, then on the other hand those same people believe the media about certain things. Like the infection rate of coronaflu, the value of isolation and shutting down church meetings, etc. Truly it seems like examples of doublethink.

What is really disconcerting is the extent to which professing Christians and Pentecostals allow the secular government to dictate matters which are wholly church matters, like whether or not the Lord's Supper is a "core element" of worship, etc. The overreach by the secular power is blatant and must be defied by the churches, otherwise the churches lose ALL credibility whatsoever.

I think honestly this is a generation that is too far gone to be of any value or use, overall. I think the next two or three generations will be the ones that experience revival and reformation. I'd love to be wrong, but I suspect the beatings will continue until morale improves. Our job is seems to be to keep the spark of truth lit until a generation arrives that is willing to fan it into a flame.

The nurse, and some others, point out that they are killing people with wrong treatment, too early, and usually totally unnecessary, ventilators and intubation. There are far crisper and non-invasive methods to handle the symptom of oxygen deprivation, certain oxy masks (avoided partly because of their transmission myths), good ol chloroquinine and its compatriots, and simple natural therapies, as done by Chris Cuomo. Cuomo included his home sauna, while his brother Andrew (Gimme 40K ventilators, NOW! Whine whine) outlawed saunas for the peons and serfs who usually do not have one at home.

This death treatment (numbers have been quoted of 80% and 90% for the ventilators) occurs after they have one of many symptoms (they recently added 6 more symptoms, making it easier to call just about anything covid) or one of the bogus tests.

The young lady was emotional about the fact that people were simply being killed by 'ze protocol', that brings in lots of moolah to the hospitals. $$$$, as Pink Floyd sang.

Remember, you can get any symptom or test you want, at the covid restaurant.

Afaik, she did not say that there is any real pandemic.

Keep in mind that sometimes even the good guys and gals have seen bogus video, like the one staged at Elmhurst Hospital, or the one at the pauper's burial ground on Hart Island, and thus think that "over there" the situation actually is real bad.

End the sham-demic.

It's not about the media being as pure as the driven snow, it's about once someone or something has established themselves to any level of dishonesty, they have earned the right to be questioned on everything they say and do. To quote them and rely on them , or to use information they reported and then expect that narrative to float by unchallenged is simply laughable.
