A guy messaged me today requesting a favor. I’m like, “what’s up?”
He said, “I’ve been wanting to learn more about God.”
He isn’t ready to visit a church right now. So, I told him I could get him some bible studies he can read through... and some preaching videos.
Come to think of it, I don’t know where to start. I’m thinking maybe start with being born again.
Do you know of any good bible study tracts (online or download) that are simple to follow?
Or any videos where there is good simple teaching but in conversational tone? No screamers, please. I don’t want him to be distracted or put off.
TIA,
Amanah

That’s to add it to your church website.

He called you. Because he wants YOU to teach him.
Now you don’t have to sift through what we post to you. No screamers, no distractions, and no getting put off. He called you, therefore you are just the guy for the job.

What are you his secretary? I don’t get it. Why call someone to ask them to get you information if you don’t believe they know what they are doing?

So the story goes... he is on probation and was recently stopped by a police officer. He was carrying a small amount of something. He was afraid that he was going to have to do 7 years.
Guess he heard back from his probation officer and is not going back to the pen.
I asked if he wanted a bible study. No.
I asked if he wanted to visit church. No.
I gave him a bible. Brand new. I used it like 2 or 3 times. He thanked me. I found it yesterday in the work van. I asked the driver about it. The driver told me he placed it there- he didn’t forget it. If it is still there in a week I’m going to take it back.
Oh, well...

Ok, I guess he is being set up for the grand whammy.
Pray that the Lord save him by any means necessary.

Saw him today. He was in the van ride on the way home from work. He thanked me again. He asked if the Bible I gave him also contains the OT. I affirmed. He stated that he thought it only had the NT.
I was dropped off at the apt. Maybe he took it with him this time around.

We can only pray. All you can do is be available to answer questions.

TIA,
How about just reading the Bible?
Mark is a good easy place to start.
Commands, promises, warnings, examples, that kind of stuff. :thumbsup

Yeah. I told him to start with the gospels for they tell the story of Jesus.
After I accepted Christ/repented 9 months before ever visiting an apostolic church I would read the NT. It was... Fascinating.
