Friend of the family (27 year army vet) just told me at the dinner table tonight. He has friends still in the dod and they are telling him something is coming. All he would say is have a 7 day supply of food and water. Get cash out of the ATM. Stay off the roads. Have plenty of gasoline....

No clue when or what is coming. Mentioned the power grid would be knocked out. Couldn't or wouldn't provide any further details. Said he wouldn't be sending this info via text if it was him.....

Not sure what to believe....

OK this is what it sounds like to me.

Friend of the family (27 year army vet) just told me at the dinner table tonight. He has friends still in the dod and they are telling him absolutely nothing but something which can't be explained in human language is supposedly coming. When? Absolutely no idea. The only thing he was specific on was the fear factor. That stock up on a 7 day supply of food and water. (that's only one week? How bad is this thing going to be?) Get cash out of the ATM (A weeks worth of money? I mean if I'm only hoarding food for a week, then to be consistent, should I just have a weeks worth of money?) Stay off the roads. (Again, stay off the roads for a week? If I run out of the weeks worth of food do I get back on the road?) Have plenty of gasoline....(OK, here is where it gets even more ponderous. The gasoline is for a generator correct? Because I won't be driving because I will not be on the road? is the gas for when I get back on the road after a week? Because all electricity and gasoline stations will be useless to me?)

No clue when or what is coming. (how do you prepare for nothing? You weren't roasting marshmallows around a fire when he was telling you all this?)

Mentioned the power grid would be knocked out. (hence the loads of gas cans in the backyard for a generator. OK. So, what I gathered is, that what is coming, is the power grid of the United States is to be knocked out. Well, at least he was defininate on that.)

Couldn't or wouldn't provide any further details. Said he wouldn't be sending this info via text if it was him..... (He wasn't holding the flashlight under his chin when he said this part?)

Not sure what to believe....( I guess that sometime in the near future we should get ready for a black out of all power.)

Good times! :happydance

Something is coming! What an amazing insight. Pro tip: don’t believe your paranoid friend.

I remember my former Pastor preaching one time, he referenced a message preached when he was young in the late sixties I believe?
It was a message that an elder preached titled, "Barometer Falling" in it the elder told a story about a new Barometer he bought and had installed on his front porch. It was a fair day but the Barometer was falling, indicating stormy weather. He ignored it and a twister touched down not far from where he lived. He ignored the signs.
In the message he also said that there was rebellion fermenting in the generation living in the sixties and we were going to have the dividend down the line because we ignored the signs. Western Society had been under attack for decades now and it will be the mercy and move of God that can redeem us.

I don't think twisters do that to Barometers. What you are describing sounds like a cyclone kind of phenomenon. Are you sure it wasn't a Hurricane?

Sounds like a low pressure system. You are correct concerning hurricanes.

I wasn't there, I am going by memory of a message being quoted preached in the sixties.

He said the barometric pressure was falling, indicating a low pressure area moving into the area, which signalled the arrival of thunderstorms. The t-storm arrived and spit out a tornado. He isn't saying the tornado caused the pressure to drop. It was the approaching low-pressure system that did that. It also put out a thunderstorm which in turn produced a tornado.

Thank you for clarifying that, I do not live in an area where there are Hurricanes, or Tornadoes. I fact, we hardly ever get Thunderstorms, and even those are incredibly short lived.
