Today was a special day meeting Falla and her husband.

After church ChosenOne, Rhoni, Falla and her husband, and Brother Strange and I and the couple who we have our Friday night home church in their home, went to eat at Steak and Ale.

We had a great time. Falla and her husband are very precious people, and surprised us all by picking up the tab. I know the Lord will bless these special folks.

I will let the others share their story of the day if they chose too.

It was pure joy to have the opportunity to spend time with such wonderful people today. It was one thing to have fellowship on-line but to actually meet face to face was a blessing.

It was a remarkable day for many reasons and one that would be remembered for a very long time.

God is so good!

I can't remember when I had any more fun. It was really great. I met some precious people who are posters here from Wylie, Texas. I learned that I knew their extended families too. Great people. We talked endlessly.

And then, bro. Conklin (sp?) husband of Sister Ofalla, picked up the tab. I could not believe he did that. But, I did not argue too loudly. It just obligates me for the next time I visit with them...which obligation I will enjoy.

The Lord greatly blessed both in fellowship and in breaking of divine bread in church and in fellowship.

Sister Esther, is so precious. I dearly love this woman. She works so tirelessly to make everything just perfect. you gotta love her too.

Sis. Esther,

It was indeed a pleasure to meet AFF posters we had become

acquainted with on this forum. And it was so neat to easily recog-

nize each from pics we had seen here also. We had never met Chosen-

byone in person and we found him to be so precious. Not only such

a nice-looking man, but with a sweet, humble spirit! We enjoyed

seeing Sis. Rhoni again, as we had met her previously. Meeting you,

Sis. Esther, and also Bro. Strange for the first time was great, as well

as the sweet couple and child who joined us. We had such a wonderful

time fellowshipping together. May the Lord bless each of you, and may

our wonderful God bring healing to all that pertains to the complete

restoring of your health, in every way, and may He also assist in the

completion of your books, in Jesus Name!!

Blessings to all,

Dan, I was going to call you, but my time was very much limited....as it has been lately.

I will be back in Houston soon. I will call you.

I wanted to say, that I also enjoyed seeing Rhoni again. What a dear, gracious lady that she is. Some man in his late 40s or 50s would be so lucky to have a dear wife as she would be.

Rhoni took pictures. She might even post them, if the spirit moves her. Who knows how she might be led?

You should have seen us. Sister Falla and I sat near each other. What a grand lady she is too. We talked almost the whole time. We even sung a few duet at the table in Stake n Ale. We sung:

He was nailed to the cross for me...
He was nailed to the cross for me
On the cross crucified, for me he died
He was nailed to the cross for me.

Then she sung one stanza by herself. Wow!

We also sang...

Anywhere is home....

You should hear how that one goes. anyone want to hear it?

Pastor preached a wonderful message this morning about Saul and Jonathan being the only two in Israel with a sword.

Saul went and sat under a pomergrante tree.

Jonathan got his armor bearer and went to fight the Philistines, saying the Lord could work by many or by few.

So which would you say you are Saul or Jonathan? Are you using your sword or is it dormant?

As I was thinking about this message on the way home from church tonight it occured to me that Saul was the King, the leader if you will, with the biggest sword, yet he not only did nothing with his sword himself, neither did he give it to a soldier willing to use it.

I begin to ponder how many are in leadership today, doing nothing with their sword, but depending on the army to do battle?

It is easy for us today to look back and judge Saul for not doing anything but sitting under a tree, yet how many of us are using our abilities as we should.

I confess I am not doing near what I need to be doing. I need strength to do more.
This is what Bro. Kilgore preached on Sunday Morning in the service...the main theme of which is FAITH. The only difference between Saul and Jonathon was the faith by which Jonathon operated.

Every song from the opening worship until the preaching of the word of God on Sunday was about FAITH and Healing. God was setting the stage for a VICTORY just like the Jehoveh Rophe who I am so familiar with.

This past Sunday God chose to be a service in which our dear Bro. Chosen was the center of attention in God's plan. Every word spoken and every song sung was a gift from God to Bro. Chosen. You see, God is special like that...He makes all his children think they are the most precious and special/the favorite in His eye.

As the members of AFF, Bro. Chosen's armour bearers; Sis. Esther, Sis. Falla & Spouse, Sis. Rhoni, Bro. Strange, and friends Sis. Tammy & Bro. Jeff and their children, gathered upstairs along the baptismal tank/by the river there was a sense of destiny...an expectation.

As Bro. Chosen opened his mouth and confessed with his lips the things he wanted from God...the Shekinah glory of God filled the room. As tongues of worship and praise started at one end of the upstairs to the other...you knew you were in the presence of a Holy God.

Rhoni
07-10-2007, 05:32 PM
Bro. Strange opened the word and began to speak to Bro. Chosen you could see faith arise in his heart through his eyes, and out his mouth in adoration and wonder of what miracle God was working just for him.

As he stepped, first one foot, and then the other into that watery grave where the sins of the past, present, and future were going to be buried you just knew that the Chosen One going under was not the Chosen One coming out of that Grave...a new body, a new life, and most assuredly a new name was being born.

When he arose from the watery tomb color came into his cheeks, vigor to his limbs, and a praise on his lips burst forth...you just had to sit back and wonder amazed at how the God of Heaven could love us so much that all of heaven would rejoice over such a humbling act of obedience.

Third Day sings a song which reminds me of this day...Offering

Magnificent Holy Father...
I stand in awe of all I see.
Of all the things you have created...
still you choose to think of me.

And who am I that you would suffer
Your very life to set me free.
The only thing that I can give you...
Is the Life you gave to me...

This is my offering dear Lord,
This is my offering to you God.
I will give you my life
For that's all I have to give...
Because you gave your life for me.

Jehoveh Rophe, I thank-you, and worship you for knowing who we are, what we are made of, the mistakes we would make, and still you chose to die so that we might live.

I love you Jesus.

Your friend, daughter, servant,
Rhoni

Rhoni,

Reading this post, I felt the Spirit of God flow over me and I was humbled to know that God did "choose" me to have this wonderful healing experience. Mere words could never do justice of what I have felt since Sunday and the appreciation I have for everyone who dared to stand with me in faith believing that God's perfect will would be accomplished.

God bless you.

Sister Falla and I talked endless at the table. I distracted her from time to time so that I could eat off her plate. She caught on to me. I shared some ice cream and some of her French Chocolate Pie. She and I sat together and sung some old songs as a duet.

You would never meet a more humble, Christ-like lady of Pentecost than Sister Esther. I've been with her in her home gatherings sharing the Word with their group which also included Sister Tammy and her husband who just recently returned from Iraq.

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

I come to learn that I know much of her family including her father and mother when they were alive.

Actually, it will be 50 yrs. next year, 2008. I had just turned 19 yrs. old

when Dad started the church (Mission), and had only received the Holy

Ghost less than a year before. There was no one else as Dad started the

work with his wife and eleven children. The eldest son had received a

scholarship and was in college and Mom had had her 11th child in Feb. of

that same year. We married in 1959 and when we had our first child, my

baby sister was only two and a half years old. So I helped nurture and

mother my own younger siblings along with our own children. Also helped

mother and nurture the church family.

My siblings and children and our family are very close-knit to this

day. I wouldn't trade places with anyone in the world. I love where

God planted me. Didn't say it has always been easy but it has its

blessings and rewards for sure. We married the next year after Dad

started the mission church. That will be 48 yrs. tomorrow. God has

been SO good and merciful to us.

Blessings,

Here is Sister Tammy and Bro. Jeff, a U.S. Marie Corp. returnee from Iraq sitting with Sister Esther. These are really great people. We have had some mighty fine meetings of sharing and of prayer in their home. He has a great testimony of how miraclously helped him in Iraq which he shared. Sunday night, the Pastor called on Jeff to address the chuch for a few minutes. Jeff received a standing ovation.

The power of the Lord was so very real upon our precious brother to work and to perform in him the mighty miracle wrought in his life. He has a great testimony of the grace and goodness of God mighty to save. This truly was a glorious even.

As I explained to the group, I find no scripture authorizing a rebaptism. Further, I find no scripture preventing it. I called our Pastor, Bro. Kilgore the Elder and explained it to him. He gave his permission, knowing of no specific reason not to rebaptize him. Bro. Kilgore gave a few instances where he thought that it would be good to do so.

I then went to another church official and asked him (bro. Wyndham) and asked him to come witness the baptism since I feel that all things should be done in decent and in order. He is in the background in one of the pictures.

Then, addressing the little group gathered, I explained all of these things saying that in absence of scripture allowing for or prohibiting, we must rely on the brother's own conviction in this matter, remembering that "...as many as that are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God."

Then with faith building words from Romans 10:8-10 and vs 16, I led him into the water with faith in his heart for not only a spiritual cleansing but a physical miracle as well. God did the work.

The heavy presence of the Lord was evidence of his approval and work.

God bless Chosenbyone. May his life be a testimony of the grace and power of God who can save to the uttermost...who is mighty to save. I come to love and appreciate this fine young man.

MomC, PopC and I were listening to Brother Strange after I was re-baptized. Brother Strange kept everyone entertained the rest of the afternoon. He was quite a character. He had us rolling with laughter at Steak and Ale with his quick wit and sneaking bites of MomC's Hawaiian chicken.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of just how much Jesus really loves me. The presence of the Lord was so mighty and I was so humbled by our compassionate Savior. His grace surely is amazing! What a mighty God!

As I looked at this picture, it came to me,

"The Face of Brokenness and Contrition".

Psalm 34:18, "The LORD is nigh unto them

that are of a broken heart; and saveth such

as be of a contrite spirit".

Psalm 51:17, "The sacrifices of God are a

broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart,

O God, thou wilt not despise".

I love the song, "On the other side of

Broken, that's where Jesus is".

Sis. The Mrs,

I believe God used this forum to CONNECT us to Bro.

Chosenbyone. This young man has a sweet humble

spirit and God gave him some witnesses to this event.

The prodigal son couldn't be born again from his mother's

womb (natural birth) but the spiritual birth is unseen to

man's natural eye. What you see with the natural eye is

the results or fruit that comes in time. The Father of the

prodigal son saw him, when he was yet a GREAT way off,

and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. (The servants

were asked to do something) to complete the RESTORATION.

The Father wanted HIS son restored to sonship within the

family. The servants brought the things that would witness

the restoration. The best robe, the ring (signet, signature,

family name, etc.). The feast afterward. The Father was thrilled

His son that was lost was found. There were witnesses that

the son had been restored. In the mouth of two or three

witnesses let (allow, permit) every word be established.

The Father told the elder son, "It was meet (necessary)

that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy

brother was dead, (not physically) and is alive again; and

was lost, and is found.

Let us rejoice and be glad! I can assure you if the prodigal

had been your or my son, we would have been glad and rejoiced!

Blessings,

Sister Renda,

I never knew earlier this year when I became a member of AFF that God would use this forum to bring such hope and life to me. I had become a man who had isolated himself from everyone and had given up just waiting to die.

God had a plan that I should live and not die and that I should have joy back in my life. The Lord used this vehicle called AFF to rescue me from a dark, lonely existence to a place where I now can hold my head up with determination to do my Father's will. It surely saved my life...

I have to thank everyone that took time from their daily lives to remember me in prayer, because it changed my life forever.

Good post Theresa!

I have never thought this place "just a forum". There are real people with real lives who have allowed us to be part of them. We can extend grace and mercy and be agents of healing or we can just be a self-righteous and judgmental incognito poster on a forum.:igotit

"Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another's pain, life is not in vain." Helen Keller

Sister,

I received your PM today and I wanted to thank you for your thoughtfulness. Throughout this day, I thought of how blessed I have been in my life. I was very moved by MOW's offer to come to Houston and I had sent him a PM thanking him for his generous offer. Perhaps, one day, I would have the chance to thank him in person and share a cup of coffee and stories of the goodness of Jesus.

Theresa had mentioned how she remembered the reception I received when I wrote that I had AIDS. I too remembered and as I had mentioned before, everything happened the way it should have and there should be nothing but joy and happiness for the outcome was worth it all. For every member who said a disparaging comment, there were dozens more who made my heart smile and gave me a sense of community and love.

I read this thread again this evening with tears streaming and I wanted to thank each of you that posted such warm sentiments regarding what the Lord has done in my life. I would have responded one by one, but I felt that it would have been too lengthy for all to sort through. Please note that each word that was written meant so much to me. May you find unexpected blessings down every road you travel on your journey.

I especially appreciate these fine words of well wishes for our brother, as I am sure he does too.

Last night, I looked at these pictures once again. When I came to the one with him standing in the baptistry, rejoicing and loving the Lord, the entire experience swept over me again. I was blessed all over again.

I would ask everyone to keep this really fine young man in your prayers, lifting him up before the Lord. It will strengthen him in his race for the overcomers' crown.

I counted it a great honor to have been included in these plans. The Lord was greatly pleased with our Brother Chosen's obedience...there can be no question.

At first, I was a bit dubious about the prospects of rebaptism, but after prayerful consideration and discussion with Pastor Kilgore, we agreed together that this should go forward.

I was not on line when the objections were raised on this forum, but I am sorry to hear that our precious brother was attached for having expressed a desire for rebaptism. But as you probably know, I understand that too.

Brother Chosen, just keep the beautiful, sweet, humble, contrite spirit that you have now, remaining prayerful, never straying too far from following the Lord...in fact stay close. You must know that you are loved by many, including myself who will always be available to you for prayer, love, counseling and encouragement. You are a very special young man.

With love.....

These thoughts have come to me this morning:

I am sure Bro. Chosen has spent many hours and days in weeping over the place he had found himself in, long before he ever posted anything on this forum. No doubt he went through many emotions alone.

Psalm 6:6 "I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears". vs.7 "Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies".

vs.8 "Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping". vs.9 "The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer".

Ps. 7:1 "O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust":

Ps.9:10 "And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee".

Ps.28:1 "Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me": vs.7 "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him".

Ps.30:1 "I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not make my foes to rejoice over me". vs.2 "O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me". vs.3, "O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from
the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit".

vs.4 "Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the rememberance of his holiness". vs.5, "For his anger endureth but a MOMENT; in his favour is LIFE: WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT(season), BUT JOY COMETH IN THE MORNING".

Thank You, dear LORD, for Your mercy and Your grace to us all!

This forum truly has been a ministry to me and for many, many others.

I wanted to ensure that this post wasn't missed between the pages of the candle conversation that occurred last night.

MOW and Dan thank you for your words of encouragement and being true friends. Dan you need to join us next time. You would have a blast hanging out with Bro. Strange and the group.

Blessings...

Here is the last picture.

Of course, it is Sister Rhoni and our Brother Chosen. They both look very sweet in my opinion.
