I attended the Tennessee District Campmeeting last night in Jackson, TN.
Bro. Jeff Arnold is the nightime evangelist. He preached a message, not sure
if he gave a title, on Being About The Father's Business. It was a good
message. The Bethel Springs Choir Sang. They actually got the preacher on
the floor at 8pm. The service started at 7pm, so this was record time for
a campmeeting in our district.
I will be going again tonight. Our church choir will be singing. Also, our sign
team will be signing. I will try to keep everyone posted.
Oh, and by the way, no strange prophecies last night as far as I could tell.:winkgrin

Unfortunately, since the UPCI campmeeting is not in NASHVILLE this year, I won't be able to attend!

It's right here at my backdoor, but it's only three nights now, or so I heard. What's up with that???

Anyway, we had church last night, church tonight in Savannah, and who knows what tomorrow night? So I won't be going, but one of our pastors was going tonight. We drove by it on our way home tonight, and it looked like a good crowd. I did hear that all that preliminary stuff they used to take up time with is now on the big screens before church, and they are getting the preacher on the floor in record time!

I'm not trying to be controversial, and I'm not trying to hijack this thread, but i have a question. Tennessee used to be (from what I understand) pretty strongly PCI (one step salvation). Has this changed, or is that still true? I'm not looking for a fight. I'm just wondering if things have changed there.

I'm considering going tonight. It's been about 5 years since I've been, so I'm sure things have changed even in that short time!

Most of the PCI brethren have been slowly but surely pushed out of the organization, IMO. The elders in this area who were strong PCI---many of them have passed away now and the younger ones coming into positions are stronger the other way. The ones of us who believed like Bro. Moore, Bro. Hansford, Bro. Greer, etc. have pretty much gone independent. The ones who are left in the organization who believe the PCI teachings probably wouldn't admit it in a public setting!!:killinme

Will do. If I go, I'm going with your mother-in-law. Wanna go with us?

Here is a report from the Thursday night campmeeting service.
The preacher was again on the floor in record time. I love this! The
preliminaries at campmeeting used to be atrocious. This is a huge
improvement from the past.
Our choir sang last night. Also our sign team performed. The audience
responded well. There was a good spirit of worship.
Brother Jeff Arnold preached on the miraculous. This seems to be his
theme for this campmeeting. He did a good job, and challenged my
faith to believe God for greater things.
The service ended with a very good and long alter service.
By the way I was the soloist on the first choir song last night. Did anyone
recognize me?

I was there Wed. and Thursday nights. I sat up in the cheap seats, as Bro. Arnold called them.

Next time TN Campmeeting is in Nashville I hope to go at least one night. How many people were there approximately? What facilities are used in Jackson?

Last night was the final night of campmeeting. It was a packed house. I am
not sure how many people the Jackson Civic Center seats. I think it would
be around 2,500.
Brother Arnold preached on how our needs cause us to turn to God, and are
in many ways a blessing in disguise, that keep us turning to the Lord for
grace to help in the time of need. It was a very good service, with a good
alter service afterwards.

We had some people go on Thursday night, and they said everything that Jeff Arnold preached was exactly what my husband has been preaching at Love & Truth. They said they felt right at home!! He preached on the Kingdom and on speaking the Word in faith; he said that holiness was not in dress rules, but in integrity before God, a relationship. They were a little amazed at the content.

He did last night too Sherri. As Hesetmefree has already said, he preached about our need and desperation attracting God and getting his attention. It was very similiar in content to what Pastor preached Sunday and Thursday night. I got alot of the same points out of it. I have always heard of Jeff Arnold, but had never heard him so I was glad I went.

A group from Tupelo Childrens Mansion opened the service with "The Presence of the Lord is Here" and they rocked the house. It was awesome.

Have a good friend that works at Tupelo Children´s Mansion. Hope she got to go to the camp meeting.
I keep thinking about how blessed we are to be in the awesome presence of our Jesus...I love Him so much and want to make him known to all.
