The Escambia County, Florida, 911 call center receives about 600 emergency calls a day, but dispatchers were a little busier this month.

"We had a guy call us about 20 times a day for the past month," says 911 Director Bob Boschen. "He's prank called us nearly 300 times. It's frustrating, one prank call is one too many."

Sheriff's deputies arrested Cheveon Ford and have charged him with harassing communications. He's being held on a 50-thousand dollar bond.

"He would call and hang up when a male dispatcher answered," says Boschen. "But when a woman would answer, he'd ask strange questions, some dealing with the dispatcher's feet. Many of the calls were sexually graphic."

Deputies say when questioned, Ford told investigators he was out of minutes on his cell phone and knew 911 calls were free

The nut belongs in jail. Hopefully, they will keep him a long time...or at least until he decides to mend his waywardness.

I work in a call center for hotel reservations and we tend to get those kind of calls on a fairly regular basis. :( Sometimes you can tell right away, that it's a prank call and sometimes you can't. Sometimes their downright gross and it's hard to take...I don't understand how people get their thrills doing that..but oh well!!

Where I work, we have a crisis line. We are all familiar with the wierdo calls that ask strange questions. You get trained on that too. People who do this need to know that we are not stupid and we loathe their calls. We also view them as people who need help.

My oldest daughter is a Pharmacy Technician and they sometimes get calls from men asking questions that go a little overboard with details about certain meds. Tiffany said they can tell when it's callers just wanting the conversation about it and not medicals answers.....
