I found the absolute HOTTEST hot sauce I have ever tasted!!! And believe me, I've tried them all!!

I've even made my own hot sauce chopping the tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc. and used jalapenoes, pablanos and one other little tiny one whose name escapes me that is supposed to be wicked!

But none of them compare to this stuff!!!

I bought it at Kroger. It's "Garden Fresh Gourmet" brand. It's all natural. On the lid it says SCREAMN' HOT and it's dead serious!!!

If you have a Kroger near you and you like hot sauce, look for this stuff. It was in by the fresh fruits and veggies in the refrigerated area.

Let me know what you think!

Whoooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ee!!!!!!!! My mouth is a'burnin'!!!!!!!!!!!!

have you ever tried any Matooks brand hot sauces? the Calyipso (sp) is my all time favorite hotsauce. it is pretty hot but not in the ranks of the sauces made just to be hot. Scotch Bonnet pepers are hot though.

Scotch Bonnet pepers are hot though.

When I first moved to Texas, I'd never heard of Habaneros before (Scotch Bonnets are essentially Habaneros).

MY buddy Steve wanted me to try one. He warned me they were hot. He wasn't joking about that.

My mouth burned for hours. The sweat was coming down off my forehead in buckets.

The bonehead ate 5 of them in a row to impress me with how tough and cool he was... yeah. Joke was on him... He wasn't a happy camper the next day... I'll just leave it at that.

I'll believe you only if you tell me that you've tried Possible Side Effects (http://www.cosmicchile.com/site/possible-side-effects.html).

Not only is it a dandy hot sauce on food, but it works wonder at removing forklift tire skidmarks from the aisles of a factory!

And yes, I have personally used it both ways.

I checked out the website. And I think I'm going to believe you. Any ingredient list that lists habanero peppers as the FIRST ingredient has to be hot.

Ingredients: Red savina habanero chile, cayenne chile, vinegar, natural pepper flavoring (contains soybean oil), orange juice, roasted green jalapeno chile, ground pumpkin seed, salt, potatoes and spices.

The first ingredient on the one I bought is still tomatoes. But I'm tellin' ya - it's HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, because of all of the tomatoes, onions, etc in it, it tastes really good. You just have to be able to handle the heat.

I have never seen Dave's gourmet Insanity sauces here. But I'm happy for all of the suggestions you all are making as to other sauces. Now I'll know what to do look for. Of course, you have to understand that in our little podunk town we are lucky to even have a Kroger. It is our ONLY grocery store.

Possible Side Effects is in the class of sauces of which one adds a single drop to an entire pot. There is no liberal splashing of this sauce on the serving on your plate like Tabasco sauce. A man eager to prove his toughness heedlessly grabbed the bottle and doused his mashed potatoes with it like it was Tabasco, and it was sad and funny at the same time to see the nickel-sized beads of sweat pop out of his bald head. His pride wouldn't let him stop eating. Strange thing about that - he never asked for any more . . .

On the bright side, one 5 oz. bottle is a lifetime supply! :D

There is NO good hot sauces on the shelves here. Nothing hotter then Louisiana Hot Sauce anyways..... I live in a community of farmers who think that ketchup is the king of taste (and heat) and salt is the only other thing needed.

I had a grandmother like that. When she made chili, she thought that putting together tomatoes, tomato sauce, red kidney beans and ground beef equaled chili. NO chili powder, salt, pepper, cumin, onions, peppers - NOTHING!!! It was awful!!!

Last time I made it...

I use stew meat or cheap cut of sirloin chunked into cubes. Brown them, then throw 'em in with some stock, garlic, crushed tuhmaters, chopped chipotles, cumin, tuhmater paste, salt and pepper.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winnAR!

The exception for ground meat is ground venison - it's so lean that it doesn't make the chili unnecesarily greasy like ground beef does.

Ground turkey works good too, IF used in addition to the cubed beef. I've done that a few times.

I like lamb in my chili too. But you gotta have beef all the way.

What's up with this "chicken chili" people try to pass off as chili?

Around here they throw macaroni into LEFT-OVER chili. NEVER first day chili!! They call that chili-mac. Get it nice and hot, serve it on a dish with a handful of shredded cheddar on top and it's not bad. Not something I personally would go out of my way for. But alot of people love it. They sell it in alot of home-cooking restaurants around here.

How do you all eat your chili? Do you like soda crackers in it? Plain? Cheese? Fritos?

I cannot eat chili unless it has lots of onions (not cooked ones!), fritos and cheese. then pour in the hot sauce and you've got heaven on earth. Once in a great while I get really sacreligious and add a plop of sour cream to the whole mess. Mmmmmmmmmm

Venison is my favorite meat by far. We used to eat it all the time, but now we only have one person in our family who does much hunting anymore. He raises pheasants and then hunts them, so he doesn't get alot of deer. too bad!!
