View Full Version : I need prayer....
After getting back some test results today, I decided I couldn't handle this one on my own.
I was sent for some tests last week as a precautionary measure due to some minor but persistent swelling in my feet & ankles. My doctor didn't really think there was anything wrong, because my heart sounded okay.. but wanted to send me for those tests anyway. She wanted to be sure there was no fluid around my heart. The good news is that there isn't. No sign of congestive heart failure, which is good. However, there are several issues with my heart. Not what the referring doctor was expecting at all.
I have NO symptoms of any of these things being wrong. They have just discovered them by her sending me for another reason.
I don't want to get into all of what they said, but one of the problems they say is most often corrected by surgery. Just the thoughts of that really scares me. There's also a minor problem with one of the valves which my regular doctor said needs to be regularly monitored by a cardiologist.
There's also another minor thing she is going to have checked out, that she thinks is related to issues with my gall bladder.
There are so many other things going on now that this is really the last thing I needed to hear today.
I know that God answers prayer, and sometimes I wonder if my prayers are even getting above the ceiling. If anyone would add me to their prayer list, I would really appreciate it.
I'll update when I have anything to add here. I'm not sure how long that will be. I guess it depends on how quickly they can get me in to the cardiologist.
Tina, I am praying for you.

Dear Lord God,
Sis. Tina has heard some things that have made her anxious.
Lord, You made us and not we ourselves. Lord Jesus, would You
first of all, give peace as You are the Prince of Peace, the Peace-
speaker. Would You speak sweet peace to Sis. Tina's spirit and let
her know that You are very much in control. You're still Lord!! Just
because we hear words from a physician, doesn't make You any less
God. You're our Father. We trust You with our souls, and Lord, help
us trust You with our bodies as well, in JESUS NAME we humbly pray!
Thank You, Lord, that we can safely trust in You and in what was
accomplished on the cross.

AMEN, I too will be praying for you TINA!
GOD has a way of bringing certain things to light so that He can show us that He is "on the job" ;)
I myself through His mighty hand found out something concerning my health that THEY {several of my docs} wouldn't ever have partly 'cause they don't really care enough., soooo there is only good that can come when He intervenes!
Thank you all for your prayers... they are greatly appreciated.

Been praying and continuing to pray for you, Sis. Tina!
Thank you everyone for the continued prayers...
Results of the third blood test came back today as Negative for Hepatitis C, which is great news... Liver enzymes are still extremely elevated though so
They have me scheduled Aug 9 for the CT of liver & gall bladder
I go to the Cardiologist in Jackson on Aug 17.

Tina, I just saw this, too. Be assured you will be brought before the Throne of God by me. I know a God who is a healer - you do too!!! Even when He seems silent, He never changes. He did not go through all that abuse (by His stripes we ARE healed) just to turn His back on us when we need Him most. Be encouraged, Sister. God loves YOU!!
I have been praying for you Tina. God can do so much more than we can even dream up for Him to do.
To all of those who have held me up in prayer, Thank you.
I got good news from the cardiologist today. NO SURGERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to go back every three months for him to keep an eye on the valve-- but he said it's just a routine thing, and not to worry about it at all-- because the problem is very minor.
As long as I stick to my exercise plan-- and eat healthy, he says there's nothing for me to worry about.
I still have one more test that I am waiting on results for-- but I have faith, that one is gonna be okay too. :)

I just saw this thread and I too will be praying for you, sister Tina.
I went through a heart ailment (and still am) the last couple of years. One doctor who had never seen me in person said that from my x-rays alone he concluded that I was dying from congestive heart failure. My own doctor received that report, looked at me and said, "Nah..." I didn't have any symptoms like the fluid and swelling - just the huge arteries and pericardium that showed up on the x-rays.
There's a lot of complicated stuff that can accumulate leading to an alarming diagnosis. For me it was a persistant pneumonia infection that had inhibited heart function for many years. No one had tied the two things together and it nearly killed me. Now, with some good information in hand, I'm on the mend. Long story short- even the bad news itsn't often all that bad. We serve a great God who can help us to sort things out. God bless!
