Just received this out of Lufkin (Tx. Dist. UPC)
Bro. Don Martinez, pastor in Grand Prairie, collapsed of an apparent heart attack on Saturday evening. His wife found him and called the EMT’s who, upon arriving about 5 minutes later, revived him. He is in ICU at Medical Center of Arlington. His vitals are good but there is great concern about how long his heart was stopped before he was revived. Please be in prayer for a miracle on his behalf and also hold the family and church up in prayer.
This appears to be the greatest concern at this time. Thank each one
who has and continues to pray for our dear brother, in Jesus Name!
Blessings,

Another update tonight from a fellow-minister of Bro. Martinez.
Quote:
"Good news again to day! I was just getting ready to
e-mail you, turned on computer saw your e-mail. He
was moving his hands and feet to the point where
they had to restrain his hand so he could not pull
out tubes, our God is still on the throne. We are
believing for a complete recovery. Keep praying!"
Thanks for every prayer prayed for this brother!

Bro. Ferd,
We also heard the reports that the doctors gave for Bro. Don Martinez.
That was man's report. That is medical science and man's knowledge of it.
But what is God's report, I don't believe we have heard it yet, except for
a few SIGNS such as eye, arms and leg movements. Shall we now look for
WONDERS! It might be a good idea to go to www.leestoneking.org
and click on "MY MIRACLE". Bro. Stoneking, by the medical team, confirmed
him dead for at least 45 minutes. That was man's report. The last time I saw
Bro. Lee Stoneking was online at the Singles Conf. in Tennessee a few weeks
ago. Didn't look like a dead man to me. Nor did he look brain-dead or
damaged!!! The same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, raised
up Bro. Lee Stoneking. If the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead
dwell in you, (and me) it shall also quicken our mortal bodies. Are some
being changed by "dead to the flesh" "alive in the Spirit!! I am wondering
about a lot of things these days.
Through the years I have heard negative comments about Bro. Lee Stone-
king, but I recognized from the 1970's when I first heard him and then listen-
ed to his tapes, that this man had faith. The type of faith I was taught as
a child. Faith I saw in operation and lived. Unfeigned (not pretentious,
sincere), but going against the odds of man's words. The fear of the LORD
is the BEGINNING of wisdom, (also of knowledge and understanding.) The
fear of man (man's words) bringeth a snare (trap). WHOSE report will we
believe!! Abraham BELIEVED GOD and it was accounted to him for righteous-
ness. Maybe weak in the flesh but he believed GOD and perhaps God took
some of Abraham's faith and put it over in his column under righteousness.
Balanced it out perhaps!!
This is not to condemn anyone or anybody but to stir up our minds to begin
to believe God and maybe, just maybe, what we lack in righteousness, He
will take some of our faith and give us some credit there!
Just some more senior thoughts from an elder sister, on a beautiful,
sunshined filled morning in America!
Blessings to all,

Thank you for being the beautiful vessel of God who encourages, inspires, imparts wisdom and advice and is a true example of a minister of the gospel. I am overwhelmed by the Spirit of the Lord after reading the above posts, which isn't a rare occurrence while reading your contributions here on AFF.
I can't wait to see you and PopC soon.

Thank you, dear chosen, for those kind words.
I never forget that all I am or ever hope to be is
because of a man called JESUS! If there is anyone
to be commended, it is "Christ in me, the hope of
glory". It is He who chooses the vessels and makes
them into that in which HE can live and move and
work. He rightly told His disciples "Without ME, you
can do nothing or no thing." For in Him we live and
move and have our being!!
Isn't He absolutely WONDERFUL!!
Blessings and we hope to see you soon!

As of Sat.,Aug.11, Bro. Martinez family is encouraged that
his movements and breathing had increased. His breathing had
not increased enough though for him to come off the breathing
machine. Sis. Martinez is requesting that we ban together and
pray that his breathing will increase today so that he can come
off the breathing machine!!! Is ANYTHING TOO HARD for the LORD?
I say NAY!!! Nothing shall be impossible with GOD!!!!

Section 7 Ministers –
Another update on the status of Bro. Martinez
I spoke with Bro. McGaha this morning; he informed me that Bro. Martinez has made significant improvements in the past couple of days.
He is able to lift his hands and utilized his motor skills now (as before he was not even able to open his eyes).
They are taking him out of ICU at Medical Center of Arlington and moving him to a Rehabilitation Center in Fort Worth.
Things are looking WELL!!!!!!!
Please continue to pray for Sis. Martinez and the Grand Prairie church!!!!!

The King is still on the THRONE. Sorry I did not
get back to you yesterday as things here were
jumping. The good news is Bro Martinez has been
breathing on his own since Wednesday and they
have moved him to a rehab facility in Fort Worth.
Sis. Martinez told me he scratched his head
squeezed the nurses hand on command. She was
very encouraged when I talked to her last night late.
This is from a fellow-minister and close friend
of Pastor Don Martinez.
Thanks be unto our Great and Wonderful God
for all that He HAS done, IS doing and Will do,
in Jesus Name!!
Thanks, Brothers and Sisters on this forum, for
every prayer that you have and will pray for the
complete recovery of our dear brother in Christ.
No prayer, No power,
Little prayer, little power,
MUCH PRAYER, MUCH POWER!
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Ghost. (Jude 20)
Blessings,
