You know, I hadn't thought much of Ron Paul before a few here had passionately heralded him as a candidate. I've viewed many videos on youtube and I have been very impressed by his candor and the views and opinions he expressed.

I would definitely cast a vote for him after researching his platform; however, the media and establishment has continued to exclude and belittle his chances to an extent that he may not ever have a fair chance at winning.

You should meet him in person. He is a great, wonderful and attentive gentleman!!!

I am sure he was quite an impressive person to have met. Our political system reeks with corruption and he struck me as someone who would stay true to his moral fortitude and not be swayed by self-serving influences.

I read that he has won many polls, which has made the old guard very nervous and that was why they pulled that stunt recently in Iowa. We need a president that would bring honesty, dignity and morality back to the White House.

He would certainly do it! I have confidence in that. At least he is opening some eyes.

Yes. But wary. I still don't think he can win. I want to back a winner, because we don't need to lose to Hillary.

I don't blame you. I'm watching myself.

The problem I have is that I agreed with almost every point of his speech in the clip posted above. EVERY point...save one.

That does not mean that he wouldn't have some point that I don't agree with. I didn't hear him speak much of God--except to briefly hail freedom of religion.

He sounds more like a Constitution Party Candidate. I am wondering what happens if he doesn't get the nomination--which he won't...will he switch parties, form another third party? This could get interesting.

If he is as strong on some other issues as he was on those he mentioned, I could be his vice presidential candidate. I would do better on camera, I am a better speaker, and a far better debater...not that I have any desire to step down from the calling that God has given to become a politician... I am just stating how closely my convictions mirror his.

Where I differed was on the war in Iraq. At the same time, his argument against being the policeman of the world was compelling, as well as the truths he spoke regarding the 2nd amendment and its ability, if followed, to deter crime and terrorism. If every person on those airplanes had possessed a gun--there would have been no 911. If every person on the street carried a weapon, there would be far less crime. Let the first gangster whip out his weapon and watch what happens when a couple of farmboys pull out theres and there won't be any gangs left in America after a bit.

He is a compelling person to listen to. I agree. I think if he can't make the nomination, he would be a great VP. Mainly because the VP is usually a "behind the scenes" kind of person and the position demands that. The other candidates wouldn't work in that position.

As far as running under another party? It worked for Joe Lieberman!
