Original prayer request thread for history of what is going on for those who haven't seen it:

Uncle George is in Birmingham. My mom and all of her brothers & sisters will be leaving out about 1am to go down to be there while he is in surgery. Our pastor and his wife are also going.
I'm not sure about all the details of the procedure they are doing, but we have all been told that it is very risky and the outcome is unpredictable. They have him on the schedule to be taken in for surgery at 6am tomorrow.
I would like to ask for prayers for safe travel for all the family members involved.
I would also like to have these doctors & nurses who are working with my uncle to be covered in prayer. Pray that God will guide the hands of those doing the surgery so that my uncle can receive the results needed from this operation, that he will come through everything okay--- and that God be given the glory for it all.
Most of all, Please keep my uncle George and his wife Margie in your prayers. It's hard on us as extended family to know they are going through all this-- but it's even harder on them as they are living it.
