I just found out that they lost their brother this weekend, so let's remember them and their family in prayer. These are all precious saints who have always been so thoughtful of others here on AFF during times like this and I know that they would appreciate the prayers of their friends here on AFF.

I will be praying!! Sis. Fallas just wrote such a comforting reply to Margie in her loss; we now need to hold Sis. F. up, as well as her brothers!

Yes we are indeed praying! Our pastor told us of this happening yesterday morning in sunday school and I am sure they know but our whole church is praying for them. This was such a sudden loss and I know how hard it is. Our prayers are with them for sure.
Chosen, was falla out of state? For some reason I was thinking they were going out of town this past weekend.... I am gonna call her this afternoon but I was just wondering.

Oh my, Larry, Falla and Crak-Jak. I am praying right now that God will surround you with his presence and hold you in his arms. I know the pain, friends. I know the pain.
But I also know the peace in feeling God's arms wrapped around you and knowing that HE feels the pain, too. God may be thrilled to usher one of His own into His presence. But He understands that those left behind here still feel that emptiness. And He is touched by our pain.
Don't we have an amazing God!

I just spoke to Sister Falla and she was doing fine. She always exemplifies what it means to be a true woman of faith. She spoke of how thankful she was to have spent time with her brother this last Labor Day and how good God was to her and her family.
She has her rough moments, but God truly has been her rock and the joy of the Lord has been her strength. What an inspirational woman!
She wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

Hello, Scott -
She is very precious to me and I am so fortunate to have her as my adoptive mom. You couldn't find a better woman who walks the walk and talks the talk of a true Christian than this dear saint.
I am glad you called her today too. She is always praying for us here on AFF and I appreciate her more and more each day.

I spoke with Falla39 today and they were still in need of prayer. I was given the impression as the funeral approaches that this lose of their loved one was beginning to set in.
I've never met BigLarry or Crakjak, but if they were anything like their older sister, I sure would love the opportunity. I am still praying for your family.

We want to thank each and every one of you who have prayed and held
our family up in prayer during this difficult time. We have felt the peace
that passeth all understanding for certain.
Today, Thursday was the funeral for our beloved brother, John S. Blakey,
He has been a part of our lives for 55 yrs. He worked as a prison guard in
a Texas Maximum Security Unit for the past two years. Today the state
warden and a whole pew of fellow prison guards were there to express their
respect for John. Bro. Ron Liles of Ft. Worth, message was "There Was A Man
Sent From God Whose Name Was John". He told what John's first name
meant and also what his middle name, Stephen, meant also. It was beautiful.
Maybe Big-Larry or Crakjak can remember a bit more in detail as I can't
remember just now. Tired mind tonight! lol,
The Lord God comforted our hearts so beautifully. Big-Larry sang as only
he can ""Welcome Home, My Son". John's pastor brother, David, from Canton,
spoke, giving some sweet personal thoughts concerning our brother and how
he and John became even closer then brothers as he became "Pastor Dave"
the last two years. Just a few days before John's death, he had written his
"Pastor" and thanked him for the things he did that no one else sees! David
took the note out of his pocket and read it with the date, Aug. 31. He died
Sept. 9th.
Again, thank you all for your prayers and support during this difficult time
in our lives.
I may not be on the forum for a few more days as just tonight we learned
that a dear family friend from Hot Springs, Ark. passed away earlier today.
We plan to attend his services over the weekend.
God bless everyone of you, in Jesus Name!
