View Full Version : Please Pray.....Possible Cancer
Everyone please pray for my husband. He came home today saying that the doctor is almost sure he has testicular cancer. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer three years ago but it was caught so early that they just cut a tiny tumor out and he was okay. Now this. I am so weary from fighting everything. We had such a huge battle when we were pastoring and all my bones are just weary to the core. Please pray for us. He has another appt. on Wednesday.

Pray'n!
Are you folks here in Louisiana?
Thank you everybody. If anyone has been through testicular cancer please PM me with your story or write it here. I guess we are forging ahead as if he does have it because he's had cancer before and the doctor seemed certain. He had an ultrasound and the doctor seemed more certain.

I have not experienced it myself. But I do know if they catch it early enough it is very treatable. The treatment will not be pleasant, but you guys know that already,. There is hope! And the Lord will be your strength when you have none!
ILG I am praying for you guys. know that you dont walk alone, even when you are completley alone.

My brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer a couple years ago. He had surgery and radiation and hasn't had any further problems (although he hated the radiation and wouldn't do it again). His only issue is that he is now infertile and didn't have the opportunity to have children.

I know this info is too late for your brother, but there is now the option of a sperm bank for when needed later.

Fortunately, we've had the children we are going to have. Did he do any chemo? CAn you give me details about the radiation?
We are believers in natural as much as we can, but in this case surgery and some chemo seem pretty standard even with people who are less traditional.
Algae,
I have already been praying while reading this thread and will continue to pray. Please keeup us updated.
I know you guys have had a tough time and sometimes it seems like there will be end to the trials but there will be. There will be a time of rest. Just continue to put your trust in God and let the Holy Spirit be your comforter.

His sperm was not viable due to the cancer, so banking was not an option.

He did not do any chemo and radiation was considered optional. I'll talk to him and see if I can find out more details.

Yes, sometimes it does feel there will be no end to it. We might need prayers concerning that state of mind more than anything else....

You're a vital part of this "community" and others do care and are concerned, ILG.
We went to the Dr. yesterday and we have surgery scheduled for Monday. The Dr. thinks it was caught early and is one of the "better" types to have. We won't know for sure until after the surgery. Please keep us in prayer. Yesterday, afte the appt., I went to have a root canal that I had scheduled aways back. I had already rescheduled it once and didn't figure that rescheduling again was the better part of wisdom. Yesterday wasn't one of the better days of my life....but at least we are looking at a good prognosis at this point. So, thank God for that...
