I have been talking to AmazingGrace through pm's this afternoon. She is on her way to the ER for injuries her nephew inflicted on her. She is in a lot of pain both physically and emotionally. Per her permission, I am posting this so that we can all call on the Name of Jesus on her behalf. Please pray for her and her family at this time.

Thank you all for the prayers. I went to the emergency clinic and will have to go to 2 drs tomorrow. One is a dr who specializes in spinal damage to check out my back for the fact I had bad back issues before this ever happened and then they told me to go see a chiropractor for some immediate relief.. I have 2 cracked ribs and my back is totally swollen, I have bruises on both of my arms and my neck...

The list of injuries should explain enough without having to go into too much detail. This is my nephew and I am making serious decisions right now. I went to the clinic instead of the er so I didnt have to press charges at this time however... my biggest concern right now is my nephew. He has also threatened major bodily harm to himself tonight and more than me please pray for him! He needs help!!! I cant go further than that for one reason it hurts to type and another I love him to death.

Pray for his little brother, mom who are not in church and my children, they were hurt and tramatized by this.

Thanks so much for the prayers and keep me in mind the next couple of days... will need it for sure.... thank God for muscle relaxers!!!

Thank you! My nephew made it thru the night without harming himself. He called me to let me know he was ok this morning and crying asked how I was. He is truly remorseful or so it seems. He has asked permission to go to church with me tomorrow night so I am allowing that. We will see from there how much contact is allowed for now.

As for this morning I am in a lot of pain which is to be expected and my daughters arm is doing much better considering.

I only broke one rib last week (not in a violent way - I just laid the wrong way on the floor) and I know I how much pain it is. So I know for sure that you are hurting terribly right now - both physically and emotionally. I just want you to know my heart breaks for you and for your nephew and all involved and so I will be praying fervently that God takes this situation and makes glory come out of it for Himself and good for all of you.

Get as much rest as you are able. Healing takes time.

I just want you to know my heart breaks for you and for your nephew and all involved and so I will be praying fervently that God takes this situation and makes glory come out of it for Himself and good for all of you.

Thank you! Resting is the hardest part. As soon as I lay down I cant be still.. I think they put speed in my muscle relaxers!! jk

I found with my ONE broken rib that sleeping in the recliner chair was easier than laying flat in my bed. Laying flat hurt terribly!!!! did they give you any pain medication, besides the muscle relaxers? I could not have made it thru the nights last week without it.

Yea I am trying the recliner next! I dont know why I didnt think of that but I know for sure the bed is NOT working.. I have managed to roll around the world and back in my cali king and still not comfy... I have beaten the bed senseless with the pillows and I think there are new dents in the headboard...

Yes they gave me vicodin last night however the dr today when I told him how bad it was and that wasnt cutting it he said that maybe they need try targetting a diff type of pain and went with darvocet.... Neither seems to be doin a thang....I am getting sleepy of course now that its an hr till time to get kids LOL

Darvocet is what the doc gave me for pain. I only take them at night because they make me very sleepy. I tried just one the first night, but it did nothing at all. The next night I took 2 and slept good. However, I found that when I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, my rib still HURT!! So it made me sleep, but did not really take the pain away. I used 2 for the next few nights, but now I'm weaning myself down, so last night I only used 1. I think in a day or so, I will stop them altogether.

I'm praying that God grants you REST tonight. That will help you heal more than anything else. And that He gives you peace of mind and clear thinking so you know best how to address the things you need to take care of.
