I feel compelled to thank Elder Raven for his ACT OF RANDOM KINDNESS [ARK] that he displayed today by sending my Mom, my sister and I flowers, in memory of my dad's passing to receive his eternal reward, two years ago. It will be two years this Friday.

They are beautiful autumnal flower centerpieces. Regal.

Without a doubt, he will feel uncomfortable for this public accolade. His humility and self-effacing personality will once again be highlighted by his response to our THANK YOU. However, we feel it necessary considering he has invested in this act of kindness and doing so w/o knowing us in person.

Tears have filled our eyes to know that we have brothers and sisters in Christ that display the same love that was in Dad ... the selfless LOVE OF JESUS.

We pray a blessing over you, your wife, your parents and your offspring.

On the behalf of my family, thank you friends. We love y'all.

I plea that we follow his example ... especially during this season ... to build ARKs for those around us. You may change someone's perspective, bring light to their day and save them from a flood.

Proverbs 20:6-7

6 Many a man proclaims his own loving-kindness and goodness, but a faithful man who can find?

7 The righteous man walks in his integrity; blessed (happy, fortunate, enviable) are his children after him.

Ditto!!!!

As I expressed to you Raven in the PM, probably the most thoughtful gift I've EVER received.

Thank you! As you said on the card "in memory of dad", there will be a symbol of his memory, front in center on our dining room table as we enjoy our Thanksgiving meal. We will give thanks for His blessings and for friends like you.

PS: Folks, Raven went thru the trouble of sending one to Texas for Dan and my Mom and also sent me one here in Wilmington. Tha'ts what I call a 1st Class Gentleman.

Daniel, Darcie, and all the Alicea family,

after reading this, and finding out that tomorrow will be the 2nd anniversary of you dad's homegoing, I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to you all and let you know my prayers are with you during this time.

As my dad, who also pastored, went home in 1988, I can tell you from experience that it does get easier with time. And though we miss our loved ones, we have this hope!

Blessings to you and your family on this day of Thanksgiving.

Matt
