I am not Charismatic. I go to an Apostolic Church which is more moderate than anything. My Pastor left UPCI many years ago and is part of the ACN organization..actually I think he started it and is the Chairman. We fellowship all Apostolic churches.

My picture was 2004...since then I have gone a bit more conservative, but I can go either way in dress...except immodest.

All earrings need not be worn from piercings. Some are still clip ons. It seems very inconsistent to hear people in churches condemning others for wearing earrings when they wear rings themselves.

My thinking is if you preach against one you should preach against the other. It is extremely confusing to people coming into a church who do not know the rules of the Penetecostal culture to hear that earrings are prohibited but rings on the finger are allowed.

its a line that is drawn- a definition of moderation and modesty.

again, if you say the earlobes, then who can say the nostril is wrong?

I haven't met the Coonskinners yet. I hope to in about 2 weeks. I will dress very appropriately and will refrain from wearing any jewelry , make-up, or pants. Fortunately for me... I look good either way:tease

I've testified about this before on NFCF but perhaps I'll just share this again understanding that I risk making someone angry.

I wore earrings for a while but haven't now for about year. Reason being that God convicted me of it while standing praying in a Sunday morning altar service. The altar was crowded with men and women. I lifted my head, opened my eyes and I looked at all the women with their earrings and jewelry and it was like God opened my eyes to see clearly the connection between all the jewelry and Egypt i.e. bondage, paganism and worldliness. I immediately reached up and took my earrings out.

I have to confess that I did put them in a few times after that but felt so uncomfortable and besides that every time I tried to wear them after that morning my ears would run. :) I don't wear them anymore.
