Re: Jail/Homosexuality

i came into the apostolic movement from chassidic judaism.

the idea that we will be sent to jail for not supporting same sex marriage in the courthouse is simply not true.

in orthodox, misnagdic, chassidic, and traditional judaism marriage between a jew and a gentile is strictly forbidden, as is same sex marriage. you never heard anybody in those communities raising a fuss because they were scared about jail if they refused to perform an intermarriage.

within the mormon church, not only can i not be married in their temple, but i can't even go in to watch a wedding take place. in fact, many mormons can't go in to just watch. they aren't going to jail for refusing access to non mormons and "non temple worthy" mormons. the list goes on and on.

for supreme court precedent check wisconson v. yoder, minersville school district v. gobitis, cantwell v. connecticut, sherbert v. verner, and mcdaniel v. paty.

nobody is going to jail for supporting biblical marriage in their own churches.

No one said its happening NOW. But not to long from NOW it will be a whole lot worse than you think. Americas transformation into "Mystery Babylon" is not yet complete.

So... you're cooking up fear based on an assumption of what the future might hold.

Just follow Jesus. Let the world be the world. Until they experience regeneration... that's all they can do anyway.

Please.

Threats by the "gay movement"? There are very few gay people who don't live every single day, dealing with issues like fear, anxiety, intimidation, mockery, bigotry, depression, suicidal tendencies, and hate.

The only response society should have to the "gay movement" is to fall on our collective knees and beg forgiveness.

see folks? Mr path here doesnt like it when people say things he doesnt like. The MOVEMENT has co-opted Mr. Path.

and guess what Mr. Path does? he BULLIES. He attacks, calls names and belittles.

YOU are part of the problem path. YOU are a bully, you want people to beg forgiveness, how about you start off the show?

To the point I madem the gay rights movement have shown themselves to be bullies more than once recently.

Chick-fil-A is as good a case as any.

The President came out for traditional marriage and for his trouble he was told to SHUT UP. because SHUT UP is what those that dont toe the line are supposed to do.

Not only was a boycott called but cities (government) stated they would not approve zoning to allow Chick-fil-A to open stores in there cities. That right there is an unconstitutional attack

this is what I am talking about and this is what I mean when I say those that do not like the tactics need to hit back. not with physical attacks, but with like attacks. boycotts, not allowing them to win even on small issues.

people with at least half a brain get what I am saying. that means even bullies like path here gets what I am saying but political bullies do what bullies do. they have an agenda that drives them and that frees them to attack anything they can

Path you are what you are. a bully with some agenda. I get it, but now youve been outted.

you can call me names and ridicule all you want. we know what you are. that noise you hear is me laughing at you.... not with you

I agree. Did/does the KKK/Neo Nazi movement get that amount of hate?

Judo, these aren’t the same thing. The issue here is that by pushing gay rights in this way drives it to push up against religious freedom. What happens when we get to the place where calling homosexual sex a sin is viewed as hate speech? We have seen that the gay movement wants that. They overtly attacked Chick-fil-A over that very issue. In fact both Boston and Chicago said they would not approve new stores for this company. That is a constitutional issue.

But it goes futher than that. What if a pastor and a church has rented their space to non-members for weddings. Then a gay couple wants to use the building or wants the preacher to perform the ceremony? Can the church be fined? The preacher?

What about some devout person who owns a bakery? Will government shut them down if they refuse to make a wedding cake for a gay couple? We know that those in the gay movement WANT government intervention in these cases, we know that any individual who opposes sin here is attacked.

This will become an issue where people of faith…ANY FAITH that oppose gay marriage in any way will be attacked. The issue is how far does it go? I don’t know about jail, but I do know that businesses will get shut down.

seriously? KKK? that is just silly. where do those idiots get a free pass anywhere?

being a racist and saying you hate people for their genitics is vastly different from a first Amendment RIGHT to freedom of religion. suggesting adultry, getting drunk, having sex that is not within the confines of a marriage between a man and a woman, should be protected religious RIGHTS.

According to the bible the only response society should have to the 'gay movement' is to reinstate capital punishment for sodomy and fornication.

I don't think Jesus would do that. I believe Jesus would simply pray for the Father to resolve the issue.
